Reef plumbing threaded fittings sealant method

What do you use on your threaded plumbings on you reef? Teflon tape, or Plumbers putty ?

I use RectorSeal T Plus 2, available at Lowes, because it specified that it is useable on ABS and PVC so works for threaded ABS bulkheads as well as PVC fittings.

Tape always leaks for me, this stuff never has.

Plumbers putty is not for standing water. It's used on sinks and stuff that is not constantly under the water line. You can use "liquid teflon" (sorry can't remember the actual name)or teflon tape.

+1 for Teflon tape, I have yet to have it leak.

Pipe dope - aka liquid teflon, teflon sealant, pipe joint compound. The brand that I've used lately has been Oatey Great White Pipe Joint Compound with Teflon. You can get it at HD.
