Sorry, trying to figure out all this FW language. I imagine doing CO2 won't differ much from a carbon reactor? This is all guesswork on my part. DSM = dry start method. Basically you put some water below the soil line, and cover the top of the tank with plastic wrap. Then you mist the tank every 2-3 days. This allows for the plants to root more easily and grow faster. But there is a risk when you flood the tank that the plants could melt away. You need to blast co2 while flooding the tank to ensure the plants are getting proper co2 levels. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've read that a thriving planted can be harder/more work than a reef. We shall see. Ok, the FW looks cool and that desk you built was awesome, but let's get back to your reef tank... How's that going? Did you really add 5 monti caps in there? It's going okay. Have a little bit of cyano, not sure how that's even possible.
