swimmatte August 27, 2013 Author Share August 27, 2013 So I've been busy with work so I haven't done much except for getting new corals. I finally got the frag tank completely set up, with the exception of needing to hang my d120. Finally found a good skimmer for the frag tank, and added a reactor that I'm running carbon and gfo in. Also added a cool Lawnmower Blenny that has a distinct red line down it's back to the frag tank. Below are a few pics:

swimmatte August 27, 2013 Author Share August 27, 2013 clean looking set up. how are you going to hang the d120? from ceiling? Haven't quite decided. I keep going back and forth, but right now I'm planning on hanging from the ceiling. Only problem is, I have 9 foot ceilings and the top of the tank is only 4ft off the ground. swimmatte September 12, 2013 Author Share September 12, 2013 Did some aquascape changing in the display tonight, will get pics up soon. I didn't know how I'd feel afterwards but now that it's done, I FRICKIN LOVE IT. I realized that I had a bunch of wasted space in the back center of my tank, so I moved some stuff back and now the entire tank opened up big time. Now I can fit more coral!!! Also, the frag tank is filling up quick. Pics coming soon..........
swimmatte September 15, 2013 Author Share September 15, 2013 Ok, so the frag tank is sitting at 98 zoa frags currently with about 85 different varieties now The majority of them are high end, collector Z's and P's. Still working on getting good pictures of it, but I'll throw up a few crappy ones. I'm going to get my hands on a look down box for my camera, then I should be able to snap some good ones. However, I did snap some good pics of my two scolys. The Bleeding Apple was eating at the time of his photo shoot............ so rude! And while it's not fully expanded, the Skeleton you see is actually an old dead scoly that this one grew on....

swimmatte October 8, 2013 Author Share October 8, 2013 Quick Update: I FINALLY DRILLED MY DISPLAY AND GOT THE SUMP UP AND RUNNING!!!!!! I ran into a TON of problems, but I got it done. I'm not at all happy with the plumbing, but will be redoing it at some point. I've added quite a bit of equipment, and am finally running like I should be. Here's where I stand, equipment wise, items that are new within the past month will be bold. Display SWC 120 Cone Skimmer Evergrow IT2060 LED Fixture Jebao WP25 Powerhead Vortech MP10 Powerhead Avast Deluxe ATO BRS Dual Reactor running GFO and Carbon Mag 9.5 Return Pump Glass-holes.com 1500 GPH Overflow Eheim Jager Heaters FRAG TANK Eshopps PS 120 Skimmer Jebao WP25 Powerhead Avast Deluxe ATO BRS Dual Reactor running GFO/Carbon Eheim Jager Heaters Glass-holes.com 700 GPH Overflow Evergrow d120 LED Fixture I'm excited to see how my tanks do now that they really have the equipment they need to thrive. The next two things on my list are to build my clear mesh screen top for my Display now that the HOB skimmer and Heaters are gone, and to figure out a way to hang my d120 over the frag tank without hanging from the ceiling, and keeping it looking clean. Will get some pics soon.

swimmatte October 10, 2013 Author Share October 10, 2013 I got some clear mesh from QR on Saturday. I am sure I will have extra if you want to try to make a screen. I still have a ton of clear mesh. I had just been waiting to make the screen until I got rid of the HOB skimmer. I went to make the screen top just now actually and can't find my darn corners! Off to HD or Lowes in the morning I guess! nice system setup...how are the wp25s working for you in those tank dimensions? Thanks! I love the 25's. In the 24" x 24" frag tank I have the one WP25 all the way in the back of one of the side walls aiming right around 1/3 of the of the way on the opposite facing side. This makes a nice flow pattern that basically keeps spinning in a circle, bouncing off each wall. On the display, I have (1) WP25 on the side wall, about 2/3 up from the bottom. This one is pointed directly across and does a really good job of moving water around. The MP10 is on the back wall underneath the overflow, aimed at the front glass. I might switch to a 2nd WP25, but haven't decided yet.
swimmatte October 19, 2013 Author Share October 19, 2013 Made a bunch of changes to my frag tank set up, so I figured I'd add it here and show some pics. The two biggest things I did were building wall (not ceiling) brackets to hang my light from, and I switched my refugium light to one I found on Amazon. Below are pics!
