Nice growth! I love seeing this!

Hey, how about a FTS now that you've redone your tank, glad you got rid of all those pesky shrooms. I got rid of all my mushrooms when I moved over to my 150, solely based on your experience!

I have a FTS following the tank break down on 11/5/2013 at my build thread here:

Here is the most recent pic of the PM (upper most coral on the left) on 6/23/2014.

I have now sold 3 frags since I purchased it from Copps on 9/22/2012.

I don't know about your growth, but your tank sure looks nice.

Very impressed. You would be disappointed in my SPS growth

Depends on the angle you are viewing it from.  Also, it is under much brighter light now than it was then.  It has lightened up a bit but still growing strong.

Bruce

Looking good!

Is the losing some of its color?  Between the 11/2013 shot and now, it looks less purple.

Thanks.

So far I have only sold 4 frags.  I am very selective on selling this coral.

Nice! Break me off a piece of that!!

Thanks.

Haha, no worries...I understand. I'd let it grow and frag sparingly too. That said, if you have a piece that needs to be trimmed away...then it is on my list of corals to go into my new tank. :-)

Those are gorgeous! Let me wipe the drool off my keyboard!

I just have a big empty tank of water...so sad

Very nice colony Bruce,

I also have the original PM, but my colony is dense and thick.  Do you think flow plays a role in formation of a colony?

Fantastic looking colony Bruce! Yours is easily one of the biggest PMs that i've seen.

Chris,

Not sure.  I have two power heads mounted on devices in the corners of the tank that make them rotate/sweep back and forth.  My colony is in an area where a power head sweeps across it about every 10 seconds or so.  They are not crazy strong power heads.  So I would say it gets medium flow every 10 seconds and then light flow when the power head is pointed away from the colony.

How much flow is yours getting?  Do you have a picture?

Thanks for all the nice feedback.  This Purple Monster is my pride and joy of the tank.

Nice, it has really grown into an awesome colony.
