Annap729 August 4, 2011 August 4, 2011 None at home depot or Any of the local plumbing supply places...suggestions?
Coral Hind August 4, 2011 August 4, 2011 use a 3/4" male threaded slip adapter with a short piece of pipe and a cap.
Guest thefishman65 August 4, 2011 August 4, 2011 I was going to say something similar. You may need to go up or down a pipe depending on what they have. 3/4 male thread to inch pipe 1 inch pipe cap? reducer 1 inch to 1.25 (do they make one) cap? reducer 1.25 to 1.5 cap? reducer 1.5 inch to 2 inch 2 inch pipe cap? reducer 2 inch to 4 inch cap? If you do this right it could stick out way past your tank
Big Country August 4, 2011 August 4, 2011 Home Depot sucks for plumbing fittings, Lowes is much better for small size pipes. For larger size pipe fittings Ferguson is the place to go.
Guest thefishman65 August 4, 2011 August 4, 2011 I think a threaded plug would be female where as the cap would be male. But rereading the title he may have stated the wrong one.
Quantum Aquaria August 4, 2011 August 4, 2011 i find all mine at Lowes. HomeDepot is 2 minutes from my house and there's like one every 10 minutes... but I travel 30 minutes to go to Lowes for plumbing parts... much better.
Annap729 August 6, 2011 Author August 6, 2011 Found them there; now the threads on the backside of the 3/4" bulkheads won't come off easily so I need to buy two new ones. Lowes wouldn't have them right? House of tropicals is closest but lowes is closer
Annap729 August 6, 2011 Author August 6, 2011 And yes they had plugs; anyway now I'm stuck on the 3/4" returns; has anyone drilled durso standpipes for an aga 125? Wondering how big the holes should be-instructions say to start at 1/16, but im hoping someone can fasttrack me through the experimenting stage to silence . Heading to house of tropicals now for those bulkheads. Thanks again!
FearTheTerps August 6, 2011 August 6, 2011 For the hole in the durso cap, start out small and slowly make it bigger by reaming out the hole. Be careful doing this with a 1/16 bit, it will snap easily.
