There was a big pack of Instant Ocean's gel food (can't remember the name) in a bucket of salt I bought. I have tried feeding it to my fish several times and they will not touch the stuff. I would like to know if anyone else has had this same experience, or if my fish are just too picky. If one of you knows your fish will eat it, come get what's left of it from me.

Yes I've tried that same gel food I got in a bucket of Instant Ocean. My fish only ate the seaweed flakes that were coming off of it, but they never picked at the gel. IMO I guess it just depends on the fish, and besides buying those gel things are expensive anyway.

I've had the same response from my fish - they look at it, and watch it fall, but they don't eat it. However, the RBTA must like it. They close up, the food disappears, and the ONE that I originally had has split twice now - so I guess he likes it. Maybe I should name him "Mikey"

I bought a big pack of the stuff. My tomato clown eat it right away but it took the others several days before they started to eat it. Once it is gone I will not buy anymore and I wouldn't recommend it.

I got a bunch of this stuff free at macna last year. I thought it seemed a bit strange but tried it. My fish tear it up, but that's not saying much because they tear up anything that hits the water. They must think they are sharks or something, fins and tails out of the water as they attack food.

I baught a packet to try out and my fish did not seem to have any interest what so ever. Even my BTA just ignored it. I would come back later and see it had dissolved. I think for $10 its not that effective. I have better luck getting a six line wrasse to eat pellets than this. Even my crabs and Royal Gramma didnt know what to do with it.

Wow, I wonder what kind of fish IO used for testing the stuff out, given how many people aren't thrilled.

It's like a big tease to my poor fish, because they know there is food in the water and swim around trying to find something edible, but end up finding nothing. I'm distressed about having polluted my tank for nothing.

If they are the ones from me, I think those fish will eat garbage if you put it in the tank.
