Seems like if you wanted to end up with 4-6 you'd have to start with 40 or 60. People have a very bad survival rate with them.

lanman January 4, 2009 January 4, 2009 Glass (Threadfin) Cardinals - very interesting and cool looking fish. +1 I have 6 Chromis's - and they don't really 'school' all that well. On the other hand, I saw a whole bunch of (10?) blue-eyed glass cardinals in Robz tank the other night, and they tend to hang out in a 'school' most of the time. I didn't have that much of a rate of loss on my Chromis's - I started with 7, and lost one during the ich attack 6-8 months ago. Even though I saw no indication that the Chromis' ever had ich. My Pacific Blue Tang 'hung out' with the chromis' when he was little. She must be wondering why the little guys never grew up bob

mling January 5, 2009 January 5, 2009 Glass (Threadfin) Cardinals - very interesting and cool looking fish. Read somewhere that Threadfin Cardinals are nocturnal. Is this true ? If so does that mean you won't get to see it most of the time ?
trockafella January 5, 2009 January 5, 2009 I had a school of 9 chromis and they schooled well together.. You should get the blue reef chromis, smae schooling but they are nearly as common... Very nice looking fish...
