My 90g Rimless Starphire Tank

Recommended Posts

Of course the craftsmanship could be better, but I think it looks great based on what I paid for it. If I had the cash I would have spent double on a miracles. They did a pretty good job on the silicone. I think the edges could have been polished and finished better, but I'm not too concerned with it. I also think the overflow box is bigger than I anticipated. I should of gone with just a single hole instead of two and opted for a smaller box. :( otherwise, I feel that the tank looks great! Now I have to wait three weeks to fill it up.

IMO you could fix the overflow if you want to. Just remove the glass and either get one cut or have the existing glass cut on the one side and resilicone

Tank looks good. Yeah, the overflow looks a tad big, but it's not that bad.

I look forward to some updates.

Thanks! I just sent u a pm BTW. :)

Yeah, but i'm not good with glass, silicone, or acrylic. :) I'm just gonna leave it be and let some nice stags grow out and hide it. :)

Cool looking tank.

So ya spend double................and in a short time when it's all covered up & broken in ya got what?

As many tanks as glasscages has built it's likely they're getting much better with the silicone, looks good to me - can't see any slop.

I'm beginning to think that he's done this before.

Looks awesome Chris. How long before the tank is up and running?

Egads! Plywood & pocket joints? No, that won't do...........you need some lumber, a few 8x10"s...preferably 10x10"s, 30 or so 6x6"s - then maybe it will be safe

Seriously, looks very nice!
