Thanks! I haven't bought a mantis yet. I have an email from BlueZooAquatics, they have Purple Spot Mantis - Medium, in stock. I just can't in good conscience put one in the 16g and then leave for several days. My FIL died last week, and we'll be taking monthly trips to NC until things are settled with my MIL. Hopefully I can get my hands on one in Sept, 3-4 weeks I'll be at home consistently....so a good time to plop one in the tank. I'll def get pics up once I have one in the tank.

Thanks Isaac....tanks are chugging along, this tank has a bad case of bubble algae and some weird wiry hair algae. I do try to do a 10g wc weekly, and for the most weeks succeed, but I won't have time to update with pics for a few more weeks. Thanks for checking in.........

It's was a busy spring, which turned into a long, hard summer. I am way over due on updates on both this tank, and the 60g. I'm off again this weekend, and all of labor day week. If this chit ever ends, I'll take the time to update with pics. Thanks for the shout out u3.........

I have three ATO's, and my fav most worry free SILENT is the avast I have on my 60g. It's been set up for a full year, and hasn't failed me yet. Which reminds me, I need to clean it one of these days..... :blink: I also hava a tunze nano and a tunze 3155 (on a 75g planted), which have been set up for 6 months now. The nano failed when a snail blocked the sensor, didn't overflow, instead it just stopped adding water. If you have a sump, go with a Avast ATO, you won't be sorry.

I've got a Tamron 100mm for my D5000, only problem is it's not auto capable, so manual focus only. Oh, and I need someone to show me how to use it :(

If you decide to cut it off, wear eye protection. They can shoot tiny cannon balls into your eye, which is very painful, and will take several trips to an ophthalmologist to remove them, as they are sticky, and need to be carefully scraped off your eyeball. Happened to me a few years back...sucked big time.
