  1. Nice list. I'll have to swing by your place tomorrow to check out your new tank now that it is set up.
  2. Anybody know where I can get acrylic safe Mag-Floats around here? Thanks. Eric
  3. Who did you get to build that for you? It looks solid and well finished.
  4. Cool. I haven't been out to F&F since the time when Sean first put out that tank. Gotta go back soon.
  5. Dang... Sorry to hear that. :( Doug, cool, I'll pm you. Thanks
  6. The ac was finally repaired and turned on. The casualty list of the heat: two montipora frags I got from Jacob, bali slimer frag, one sexy shrimp Happy it isn't more. Again, thanks for all of the suggestions.
  7. Thanks. I want to get a decent macro lens, too. Can anybody suggest one that is good and doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Thanks Eric
  8. Yeah, it is the one I picked up in Richmond. Marvin charged me $50 for the Yuma. He had a red one there... I am thinking about getting that one, too! LOL cbashaw, I hope mine will stay the colors it is now. If I have to, I'll buy brighter lights! LOL
  9. I got a Ricordea Yuma at Atlantis Aquarium yesterday. I have to show it since it is so beautiful. There are three of them: 1 large with 2 mouths, 1 small and 1 tiny just under the large one.
  10. The picutes I took during the road trip to Atlantis Aquarium yesterday were all taken with a D50 that I got day before yesterday. The link to them is in the thread about the road trip. :-)
  11. It is a coral..... have a look: If you get a colony, give me a frag? Heheheheh
  12. Chris, what size tank is that? Eric
  13. When I came home today, I found all the corals a little happier. The toadstool looked a lot better. And, this is even though the temperature was 82F. To lower the temperature, I turned off all pumps (except the ones that break the water surface), turned off the lights and turned the fans on high. I am still not in the clear, though, since the AC was not turned on today. My dog didn't look too happy today either when I got home, so I took him to a friend's house where he can stay until the AC is turned on again. Thanks all for the input.
  14. Yes, I've had fans blowing over the water and it really does help. I turned them on full blast last night and there was a lot of evaporation but the temperature was down to 83 and the toadstool was looking much better. I've turned off all pumps except the one that breaks the water surface. We have central heating and cooling and there was a pipe break. That is why I don't have AC right now. But, according to the letter from the condo management office, it is supposed to come online today. Thanks for the suggestions. Eric
  15. The AC in my condo still isn't on and when I got home today, my tank was at 87.5 F! The toadstool is looking bad! :( The other corals don't look well but not so bad. Dang, I really hope they have the AC fixed by tomorrow.
  16. Great job!!! Do you have larger versions of the pic to get a closer look? Or, when will you have a showing?
  17. They are amazingly beautiful. Thanks for the info.
  18. Have a look at The Nature Conservancy's reef pictures ( http://www.nature.org/joinanddonate/rescue...ore/photos.html ) .... awesome pic of a seahorse (or believe it is one). The image is at http://www.nature.org/joinanddonate/rescue...seahorse_lg.jpg Anybody know what it is? Eric
  19. I've seen this question posted on reef central a couple of times and the recommendation was always to not bring anything back. Way too many pollutants in the sand and in the waters surrounding the coast.
  20. Nice. What kind of corals are these?
  21. LOL... Or a Lobimp. I think I like 'shrobster.'
