  4. I read before when Xenia colony reaches a "critical size" it might start receeding.
  5. Welcome!!!! Do you work in ivert pavilion?
  6. Simple. Give them away to people in need any time you notice them
  7. Do not move other fish. They need to be treated as well as they were exposed to the parasite already. Good news - you did QT Mine from that order looks good but now I worry (and praise myself for setting up a QT)
  8. Fish can be kept in conditions like this but I think it's cruel... I saw those water monitoring devices where fish sits in a tiny stall (size of the fish), water pumps through the stall and fishes breathing and hard beat are being monitored. This way possible to detect presence of contaminants, toxins etc. Fish does not dye there. They do not eat for month as well. They do not die either. Are they happy? No... Same idea.
  9. Some time ago somebody posted a link to a well priced T5 conversion kit (reflectors, lamps, harness etc.). Of course I can not find it anymore. Anybody remembers where was it?
  10. So many posts, not enough candy :(
  11. I would use live brine soaked with vitamins with added mysis. Squirt mixture just next to her so it moves and droves her attention. Good luck!
  12. Go for it people! They still have 3 frags more left on the site.
  13. Starry Blenny is a cool looking fish! Sea hare is an option I like them!
  14. Steve, thanks for the update! Hope my payment went through OK.
  15. Is it more expencieve than Zebra ones?
  16. I would not blame the death of the scooter blenny on the shrimp. Most probably it died and shrimp just was eating the corps doing you a favor cleaning the tank. Did you keep a scooter in 25 gal? As I understand scooters are, like Mandarins, depend on live pods in the tank. Which make me think it could starve :( Just IMHO though... I think this scenario is more possible. Also if you wold like to get rid of the srimp - your best shot is to set a trap.
  17. My Flamefin Tang (Tomini) is the best algea eater ever! Too bad I can not put a Tang in a 45 gal SH tank :(
  18. What would be the best algea eating fish for a 45 gal seahorse tank? I have a cleaning crew and they do some job but not completely. I want to get HA under control before I have really start a fight. Also question will be - what is YOUR favorite algea eater? Pictures are welcome
