  1. I have one Yuma which lives close to LTA, but this is it.
  2. I want to jump on this as well. I still have a mistery to solve. Never would blame my BTA before but recently it did try to eat my Hippo. Hippo was healthy and happy the night before. Next day I found it in the BTA's tenticles :( Dead. Now, I do not believe the tang died of natural causes. BTA stung me a couple times badly when I was cleaning my tank. Now I wonder - maybe female clown beated it and anemone got it? No other predators in the tank.
  3. OMG, I have $$$$, I really want it but have no room in the house :(
  4. How cool! I have 40 hex seahorse tank with 2 yellow reidis myself. This is a nice tank for ponies. I tried not to build up too much upper part of it. Seahorses like floating in the open water column at "dusk" so 40 lb of live rock might be overkill. Think about extra water movement too - I have a powerhead and it helps alot with avoiding having dead pockets. Seahorses are sloppy eaters and lots of not-eaten food can accumulate really fast and mess your water chemistry. It's sort of a myth that seahorses do not like much flow. In reality they do much better with water movement than without. Many people do not have skimmers in their seahorse tanks. I do not either, just HOB, and it works great. Lots of algea too. I have some live rock I can donate as well as algea but I live in Germantown so if you can figure out transfer - be my guest. Good luck!
  5. OMG, these pictures are awesome!
  6. You can get a camera with 2 lens outfit for $499 @ Ritz camera.
  7. My daughter did similar project with sinularia - really fast grower and easy to measure grows.
  8. I bought a bleached anem somwat 1 year ago. It took it 9 month to slowly gain color. It's still not completely colored but doing much better. It's healthy, grew big and split over this time too.
  9. IMHO because it's gambling. Can be good, can be not so.
  10. Give it to me, I like my corals well done!
  11. Bad Rik! I will not buy from you any more because I'm broke.
  12. Good luck with the fish. Hopefully he'll be OK. Just another advise - always QT your fish. It's better to be safe than sorry and it can really spare you a major headache. Without QT it's not a question if disaster might happen. It's a matter when.
  13. Geez, even with 3 tangs in my tank it would take me 3 years to go through 1000 sheets. How much do you feed YOUR fish, Rik?
  14. I just resently caught a HUGE - probably footlong (stretched) bristle worm in my tank and it was eating my red-footed snail It's not clear if snail was dead before the worm got to it or it was a murder . It's a very neat looking worm though so it moved to my refuge. I tried to track it down and take a picture but could not see it lately.
  15. I have 3 skunks - one very large and 2 1" babies. They seem happy together. I agree, I would be super surprised to see Skunk killing ANYTING.
  16. 'nems really have their own idea of comfort. It will hurt the acan for sure if touches, so it's your call what to move. If you keep moving though the anemone might start walking again and nobody knows where it will end up.
  17. Rik, I do not think you guessed the vendor right
  18. Thanks guys for you suggestions. I honestly do not want to name the vendor now. If the problem will not be resolved by Friday then you will see a "nice" review here on the board. You know, I do not do this often but there are some instances when I would. The vendor is well aware of the situation with the UPS, got emails from them, talked to them etc. I'm just inpatient about my refund as I do not think it's fair to make me wait for UPS to send a refund check to the vendor. I do not think it should be connected as it's between the vendor and UPS to settle this.
  19. Ok guys, Recently I ordered a coral from a vendor. Everything looked so happy and upbeat until UPS dropped the ball, package got damaged and never delivered. I'm trying to get a refund from the vendor yet with no success. Not until UPS refunds the vendor :( Do not even get a store credit. GUARANTEE : We guarantee live arrival. However, we are not responsible for shipping delays. In order for a refund to be issued, we must be contacted within 2 hours of delivery and must receive a clear photograph (SPECIFY - OF WHAT??) within 24 hours. Failure by the customer to accept the package on the first delivery attempt will void this guarantee. Have no idea what to do now. Master buyers, any advice? Never had anything like this happening to me before. Usually refund is not an issue. :(
