I've used them before without any noticeable effects.

Hadn't planned to put anything there. Was taking readings with the PAR meter to tweak the lights.

Running 6 XR30 G4 Pros over a 225 (72X24X30) 12" above waterline running AB+ @100% Getting high 400's, low 500's at the top of the rock work (highest point is 17") and consistent readings of 300+ on the sand bed. Is this too much and should I turn the lights down? Tank will be SPS dominant.

Added a small CUC right after the cycle, 25% of what was suggested for a tank of my size (225 gal.) by Reef Cleaners as there wasn't much for them to feed on.

I expected to have the algae outbreaks was hoping it wasn't Dino's as I've seen small air bubbles attached to some of the strands. I use Reef Crystals salt and it seems to always mix with higher alk, ca and mag numbers. On day two of a blackout and it seems to be working. Will be adding to the CUC this week. Thanks for the reply.

Same here, used a UV and never saw them again. I did raise the nutrient level also.

After doing a little more digging, found a BNIB LuxCore Selectable Wattage Electronic Ballast.
