  1. Howard I have a power head and heater is the can with it.
  2. While helping with a 180 gal tank move this past Thursday, we decided to swap out 80% of the sand for some fresh southdown. In any event , I have about ~40lbs of the old sand left over. This stuff has all the good bugs and such, so if any one is interested bring your bags and I can hand it out. Perfect for adding some diversity to your existing sand bed or seeding a fresh tank. Drop me a line if interested.
  3. Howard do you have a shot of your available GSP, I may be interested if its different than the ones I currently have.
  4. I'm in for thurs or friday, just give me a ring.. I've got a 35 gal rubbermiad trash can I use for RO water and the use of my pick-up if needed.
  5. Sweet tank howard. Just get rid of the 6500 and go with the dual 10k. The 10 k color is some much better in the pics. darn I wish I was able to make the light demo.
  6. Crazy glue The trick is to use the thin stuff (not the gel) and a needle. Dip the needle into the liquid and then place it at the upper most portion of the scratch. If done right the little bit of glue will get sucked into the scratch at the needle tip. I've had success with this technique on fish tanks and car windshields. At the least the scratch is less noticable at the best barely detectable. If done incorrectly or without care an even bigger mess, but I've found a razor blade helps with mistakes on glass while the ER helps wtih glued digits.
  7. If you change the date, I'm available Thurs-Sat.
  8. Anyone have any Hammer, Frogspawn, or Torch available? Mainly interested in a frag of frogspawn since the one I ordered from the seacrop order didn't make the trip, but I'm open to any of the above.

    Hair Algae

Mike my tank is no where near the size of yours, but 2 months after I set everything up the tank exploded with hair algae. Besides letting it run its course I added numerous snails, and used a peice of 1/4" acrylic tubing and airhose to suck the bigger stuff off of the glass. I started using the tubing to suck the stuff out because I felt I was just making it worse by scrubbing the stuff. Felt it just created seed pieces to go wacky somewhere else. Once I was able to keep the glass clean all the critters kept the rocks and sand in check. The scrubbing lasted a month, once I switched to the sucking that crap out it only took me a week to get it under control. Just my experience. Paul
  10. Howard its yours. No hurry on the trade, you can hit me up next time around.
  11. Have the following to offer up for trade. Green centered Zoos with Brown skirt (1 frag ~10 polys) (Howard) Speckled Leather (Cladiella sp) (1 frag) (Grav) The above zoos I received the main colony from a fellow memeber. While the leather came from the recent Seacrop order. I used a rubber band to attach it to a rock, but it was a little tight so I have a decent size frag to trade now. Later Paul
  12. Will Dr Mac be attending the spring meeting? Paul
  13. I'll stop by the day of delivery and can grab Dave's stuff as well. later Paul
  14. Dave Is the order still on schedule for the 19th? I've got my buckets ready to go...
  15. Ghori I can split one of my 2 bags with you if Xeon wasn't able to get you in. Just let me know.
  16. I vote for corner of the wall. Picture frame just doesn't do a tank that size justice. Personally I would put it in the middle of the room just so I could look at it from 4 sides, but I realize the space requirments.
  17. Lee Even though I won't be able to make the meeting I'd be interested in one of your long polyped toad stools you have. Let me know and I can plan on making a trip up your way next week. Thanks Paul
  18. I've got a few different types of frozen fish left over from this past fishing season. Salmon, Croaker, and tuna for sure, but maybe some other goodies as well. I don't think anyones fish would mind previously frozen. Normally I'd just fry them up for myself, but I rather make room for some fresh sea bass.
  19. Looks like we have the min order. Also if somone just needs to be around to receive the order I'm always home on Thurs-Sat. I don't mind storing them in my garage for a bit.
  20. I too have seen the jump in temps. I just picked up a small 4" "High Velocity" fan from Wal mart. I have it blowing across my fuge, and was suprised to see a .5 degree drop within 2hrs. I woke up this morning and the tank was back to 78
  21. Send it my way I'll eat it... mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  22. That's and iffy question. Personally I don't feel comfortable eating something that just died vs. me killing it myself. My only suggestion would be to make sure it is cooked throughly. Did anyone say Percula Fish Sticks?????? Later Paul
  23. I wish I could go, but I've already volunteered to help move a tank for a fellow memeber that day. If anyone from the Nova area is going I was wondering if you can pick up some prepaid stuff? If any one is willing to give me a hand it would be much appreciated. Thanks Paul Culpeper VA
  24. I've had great success with using lemon juice on Majanos. I would have to say that only about 30-40% require the second injection, but most of the time that is only if they contract before I can inject.
