They should be good. I had fish sent with arrival date of saturday and it didn't come until next monday with all livestock alive. So, corals should be ok.

Anemone tank is going very well. Anemones are much bigger now! No splitting just growing like crazy. The main tank is doing ok. I am getting a bit of algae bloom. Currently trying out Vibrant (I saw a lot of other folks mentioning it in TOTM threads) to see if that would decrease algae. It is a new tank so I expected it to happen, so I'm just hoping to decrease the amount.

What puffer are you intending to get? Most will eat your inverts especially the shrimp.

I need some advice on flow. The attached picture is a 45 gallon tank. I currently have the return flow on the top right and an IM Wavelink Pump on the top left. I want to swap the IM pump to a Maxspect XF230 Gyre. Should I mount it horizontally on the left side of the glass or vertically to the back left? Any suggestion appreciated.

It subsided but there are still some blowing out. I will it give some time and see if it goes away.

Thank you. Most of the equipment came with the tank. I didn't want to make a mistake with equipment and bought them as a set. Those are the AI Prime. They actually produce more heat than I realize. During peak time, it actually increases my tank to around 79.9 degrees.

Just make sure you can use those coupons for items that are under MAPs. They always restrict coupons.

I was in the same dilemma a few months ago. I ended up choosing the Vortech. 1. Easy maintenance. Many of the gyre i have seen look "dirty". 2. Low profile. 3. Ease of use. 4. Been around for a long time and proven to be very good with good user ratings.

I had a hard time keeping my pH high for a long time also. Every method mentioned in other threads was not working (water agitation, etc.), not feasible (drilling a hole outside for skimmer), or end up affecting other parameters (kalk). My tank was running as low as 7.3-7.4 at times during the day. Best method found so far that works well for me is the CO2 scrubber. I got one from BRS.

You have it right regarding the sump. The flow out and into the back once it goes through the skimmer. All the water flows through the right hand side and flows down into the filter pad (I added the pad and that helped with the bubbles). I do not know if a diagram online. I can try searching some more. The colorful tubings are my dosing ... I can't find a good way to connect them (too short to pull all the up the tank). As of right now, the bottom is a mess... it it works (i think). I really like the 170. Sooooo much easier to put together. I do not have the sump on the bottom and regrets that. However, adding the sump would take up all the space on the bottom.

Took a very long time but the fish and corals are in! My wall of rocks... no skill what-so-ever on aquascaping rocks. My blue hippo tang is one of the main reason I had to upgrade. I bought her when she was tiny (3/4'') hoping that it will take her a while to grow. Within 2 months she tripled (quadruple?) her size and was just not happy in the little tank anymore. She seems much happier now. Everyone made it over. No fish or shrimp death so far.

I have attached the pictures of the sump. Hopefully you can see it. The bubbles actually decreased already. I am hoping that by tomorrow there will be no more tiny bubbles. Sorry about the mess. I can't seem to get everything in there without it looking like a disaster.

This is a below-tank sump. The bubbles are coming from the tank return (the other 3 circulation pumps are good). They are micro bubbles. There are only one chamber in the back. It is the same level as the return grid (??).
