I have one aiptasia that popped up a couple of weeks ago. I used the Red Sea Aiptasia X and it became 4 of them in the same spot. I tried using it again and guess what? I have a bunch of them! Is anyone else having the same problem or do I have a bad bottle of this product????

Hello! I am very close to where you are at. Let me know if you need anything. I have a lot of stuff that you can use/borrow if needed. Also have ammonium chloride solution left (dr. tims aquatics) if you need it to start your tank later.

I had good luck catching him using a fish trap and a mirror. I just put a small mirror in the back of the trap and he goes right in. Took 10 min. I have a trap if you would like to borrow it. In glen burnie, md. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

I saw such great reviews on this item and had to get one. Can I keep it in the tank while not in use or is that not advisable because of the metal blade?

Thank you for all your help. I did not plan to add any of these items as of yet. These are just plans that I have in my head and just want to make sure everything is "good" before finalizing the plans. I actually did consider the biota mandarin and actually have tried raising copepods in a 10 gallon tank to feed them (not much luck so far). I get the tisbe from HOT and feed them phyto, but it has been months and I don't see any babies. Anyone has luck? I don't have a refugium.

Hello, I need some advice. I am starting a tank mainly for anemones and some fish. I tried looking for information regarding having the mandarin with anemones and cannot seem to get a straight answer. Is it wise to have a pair in a tank with about 4 anemones? This is a 45 gallon (Red Sea Max E-170). Thank you.

Like a lot of beginners, I got some damsels when I started the hobby. They are quite annoying right now and attacking some new fish. Does anyone near by have a fish trap I can borrow/rent? Or have a good way to get them out (without having to take out all the rocks)? Any advice is much appreciated.

I am definitely not handy by any mean. I just love the saltwater system (fish, corals, etc.).

It is going decently well. I had some "oops" moments, but no major issues. Youtube has been a lifesaver and I try to read up as much as possible every chance I get. At times it feels like I am getting a Marine Biology Degree. At my current level, I don't think I will try to put together another system one piece at a time again. All the Red Sea AIO sounds very attractive. I think by the end of the 6 months I started, I spent about the same pricing with way more headaches.

AlanM, I started fantasizing of the 120gal 1 month after i set up mine. Right now, I'm eyeing the Red Sea 650. Just need to finish the basement. Not structurally stable elsewhere.
