  1. Thanks! Running peak par of 350-400 along top of aquascape, 12 hour ramping photoperiod. I’ll probably put together a “build” thread soon with all my system details. Alk: 7.8 Cal: 400 Mag: 1400 No3:10ish Po4: .12ish Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Do you want to convert it to a carbon reactor for use in the tank? Or in place of carbon block in rodi system? Yes It can be converted to a reactor. But no you cannot use granulated carbon for rodi system (at least not effectively). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Definitely get the ULR, but then you still have to choose between the ULR phosphate or phosphorus. I use the ULR phosphorus, it has higher resolution measuring in parts per billion, but does require math for conversion (I just use apex log to convert it). The ULR phosphate measures parts per million, lower resolution but doesn’t need conversion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. more pics of the hoarding please!! They look amazing!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Welcome to the joys of reef chemistry lol. One thing to note, All for reef works a bit differently than most dosing supplements. It relies on biologic process to break down into available alkalinity. So there is a delay in dosing vs showing up on test. It will just take some adjustment to find proper dose for demand. Also alk can vary throughout the day, so make sure you’re testing at around the same time. If the suggested initial dose was too much, start at 1/4 dose and work your way up. 6. Dremel makes it easy and gets clean cuts. Bone cutters work too, but just be careful not to crush the skeleton (don’t just crunch down), use more of a torque and snap technique Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I’ve been running mine for about a year and a half. Just change reagents every 6-8 weeks and calibrate after changing. I haven’t had to do any other maintenance yet. It does require service at 18-24 months, with the option of diy kit or sending it to neptune. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. It will compensate for those changes, and you can determine how much it compensates. You set your target value, the control range, and limit. If trident reading is outside of control range it will stop trying to compensate and just dose baseline set dose. The limit controls the % change allowed for each dosing interval, so it won’t go crazy beyond what the typical dose is set to Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I think you’re misunderstanding something. Using that code the doser will not come on at 6pm or 7pm... it will start dosing between midnight and 6am. If that’s what you’re trying to do, then the code is correct Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Apex uses 24 hour time. 00:00-06:00 is midnight to 6am. Are you trying to do 6pm to midnight? If so then it would be Fallback OFF OSC 000:00/005:00/055:00 Then ON If Time 00:00 to 17:59 Then OFF Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Fallback OFF OSC 000:00/005:00/055:00 Then ON If Time 06:00 to 23:59 Then OFF Here’s the code generator that I use. https://www.reeftronics.net/adpg/dosingcalc.php Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks! it’s about 3.5 years old Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. just an iphone X with icecap orange filter. Top downs are taken through a coral viewer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I use fritz blue box with good results. Parameters are perfect for me, and the price is right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. well that’s a bummer:( Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. the return chamber is 2.5”x3.25”
  17. First i’d recalibrate your ph probe. But that ph is actually great. I wouldn’t worry until 8.5. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Nice! I have that tank also, it’s great. I upgraded the pump to a sicce micra. I’m doing super low maintenance mostly rockflowers and xenia in mine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. ditto with pushing the acrylic rod REALLY hard. Are you using airline tubing or rodi tubing for the dosing lines? If you have to use the soft tubing, i use these stem barb adapters that actually fit https://www.freshwatersystems.com/products/john-guest-stem-barb-connector-1-4-od-stem-x-3-16-id-barb Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I don’t have a youtube channel, but i’m on instagram @boxed_reef Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. i just did a quick search and found this thread on reef2reef which seems similar, and suggests some sort of gas bubble disease. Do you have a lot of micro bubbles or are bubble scrubbing? https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/air-bubble-over-eye.687412/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. erythromycin would probably be my first recommendation (maracyn). Kanaplex or maracyn2 are also potentials. Determining the type of infection is tough, so definitely do some more research to try to decide which would be best Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. did you ever treat with prazi? the bubbles are likely infection, which can be caused by flukes. Either way, do you have a hospital tank that you can treat with antibiotics? I’d still do the fresh water dip before transfer just to check for flukes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. try a fresh water dip to see if there are flukes. Look up proper procedure (match temp and heavily aerate fresh water before dip, 5 min max in dip). Probably also secondary infection Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. don’t calibrate with rodi. If that was the determination solution was off... trust the solution Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
