  1. Thanks for all the reaponses!
  2. Rebecca is out of town and I seem to have a lot of free time today. I was thinking of making a trip down to nova to some LFSs, which store(s) carries the b ionic? Thanks in advance!
  3. I appreciate it! I have a lot of catching up to do.
  4. I just wanted to add dates when the thread is updated. For instance I would like to add "New shots 7/24" to the existing thread title. Is mod status required?
  5. Anyone have any idea how to change the thread title? Thanks
  6. Maybe I can help...give me a couple minutes.
  7. I wish ebo-jager was still around, I have been using jager heaters since 2001. I hope everything is ok!
  8. Very tough crowd...but since it's TBT High school THROWBACK
  9. Seems sanitary enough...
  10. LFSs laugh in your face when asking for store credit for macro algae (H.O.T.). BUT! The last time I brought in a gallon zip lock full of it to the LFS they had no problem selling it for $10/handful. Hopefully you have a better time...
  11. The aquariums are in transition right now, downsizing for the school year. If/when my confidence level is back up I will post a FTS for sure. For the time being this FTS will have to suffice. I am 14 in the picture, and this is my first "real" reef tank. I started in the hobby at age 12 I had a 29 gal with a canister, two t8 bulbs, air driven in tank skimmer with one of those wood air stones, and MJ1200 for circulation. Unfortunately I can't find any pictures of that :/ I should have waited for tomorrow's TBT but you guys called me out. Side shot- Sorry for the yellow paint circles, someone couldn't believe a 14 year old was capable of growing coralline just dripping kalk from a gravity fed pepsi bottle. Of course the person opposing such a theory was an Reef Central...so I had to show them it was possible. Looking back at this picture reminds me that anything is possible with the right research (cliche I know but one's heart needs to be in it for a successful outcome). However I had no idea majanos spread like wildfire lol I thought they were cool. I suppose they are very cool and colourful, but not in the middle of a zoa colony. That was ten years ago and now majanos aren't allowed in my aquariums.
  12. Yeah, 5 gallons here and 5 gals there...I am experimenting with this now in one system. Less fluctuations in params and I switched salt brands a couple weeks ago. Thanks! Awesome, I kept those under MH in about 6 inches of water. High flow. Thanks Alan!
  13. Thank you. I appreciate it! How are the mohawks? Glad to hear it! You got it.
  14. HOLD ON I'VE GOT A LITTLE MORE TIME BEFORE REBECCA GETS HOME
  15. Each water change I will post a couple shots of corals, here are the first few. I usually do 2-3 water changes a week :0 but school is starting back up shortly so take it easy on me when the middle of August rolls around. Enjoy...
  16. Definitely remove the specimen from your dt and treat externally.
  17. Doesn't look like your tank has completely cycled yet. What's your wc regimen? Running any media? Could you post a pic of your nem?
  18. It isn't named, thought orion's belt worked well for the morph. Since the morph isn't named you can call it whatever you'd like. My BEG and eye of sauron look a lot different maybe it's the halides, either way looking good!
