been a while since last update but lot has changed not more regular old stand and tank now.... Building a small fish room( better then nothing) so tank will now be in the wall! So I have been working on that with the help of friends this week. Still more to go hope to get the tank in soon and start electrical. Still have not decided on overflows want to rip mine out and do a calfo or something similar to monkiboys. Also skimmer came in the other day after tons of shipping issues! so that how its looking now. used behr basement and garage sealer first few pictures were 1 coast last was after 3 coats turned out well. Then I am going to put down some indoor outdoor carpet.

well the ghost overflow wont be available again until mid march after talking to them. So I do not think I will want to be waiting that long to get this tank running. So I guess I will be doing something like Der ABT and Monkiboy's setup so I will definitely need help with this for sure... So hope the 2 of you don't mind me bugging you soon.:P

I plan to get a jaw fish would the special grade work well for them? or should i mix some sand and special grade.

yea very true guess could make one with acrylic as well.

Since I still have downtime waiting to set up the 180 I browse a ton and find ideas that for some reason make me want to start ripping apart my tank while its empty and do it the best way possible the first time around. So right now I have a 180 gallon tank with dual corner overflows. Tossing around the idea of removing them since they do take up a good chunk of room. So if I do remove them I could plug the holes bulkheads and a cap or I seen some use glass and silicone not sure if I trust that as much. so then come down to what overflow system to use... calfo aka coast to coast ? reefsavys new ghost overflow? what other ways could this be done. or should I just leave them alone.

its on sale at drfosters cheaper then anywhere else I have seen.

I am thinking about using that sand as well for my tank or at least a sand of that size I have the pink whatever now in my biocube if i do anything it blows everywhere. just not sure how much i want to get for a 180 gallon. need to figure what bottom fish I want I guess and go from there.

very true i know some people even send there water out to get it tested from some labs.

80 on black friday worth it imo not hard i have one as well but this is more convenient and no screw to adjust if needed for zeroing it in. i have hannah checks for main things i got on black friday as well. agreed BRS seen me coming on black Friday to say the least lol

ordered this black friday just had time to use it and calibrate. Love this thing. easier for me then refractometer. was a good deal had to snag it.

I was looking at doing an acid bath but was told to cook the rock that I got from the guy i got the tank from. No clue how old rock was stunk a bit but seems to be doing ok just not sure on the pieces with sponge on them. Will be following to see how it turns out just incase I have to as well.

Very nice i almost bought that 80+ head duncan from the guy selling all his stuff by not much room in my small tank have to finish my big build. thinking of that im gnna have a hard time finding a spot for all my stuff lmao.
