Its flowing just fine around it. Today I noticed the skimmer finally broke in, its producing a nice foam now (Day 4) Thank you sir. I have been following your build thread very carefully, at one point I was trying to find a cabinet like the one you had on your reef. Now I'm watching the Nanobox light that you have. I saw that he just released the duo with a goose neck ... I may have to look into getting that in my future. I did have a question about the storm controller. What does it look like? Can you program it and walk away from it or does it need a apex to control it? One step ahead of you boss haha. Nanobox may be in my future if brad can enlighten me a little bit on them. I think Monkiboy has some as well in his build?

Thank you for the complement! I am doing the passive flow. I put them on the top shelf, so that i don't have to take my entire filter rack out and have filter floss right under them. Its just a new chore to add to my list, but really not much work at all. 9004. Your right it does and man is it a close fit! You are very right, but I have some clear acrylic left over and a spray can of flat black paint. I think i will use this as a temporary fix to test. Depending on how it goes, I will buy black acrylic for it. No need in cheeping out on something that small.

Time to wake this up again with some pictures. Tank has changed from the Nuvo 24 to the Fusion 30L. The aqua scape is simple. Trying to keep it pretty minimal so that i can get the most coral growth i can out of this little tank. Everything is very very quite! I love it! Except for the MP10W. Now all i hear is that thing ramping up and down. Kind of annoying but i guess it is what it is. I think i will get another MP10w so that i get good flow from both sides, one doesn't quite reach all the way to the other side. Thoughts on the new fusion line: Great looking tank (not to sound cocky), but man I'm glad i was waiting for that 24g nuvo because I would have missed a better tank with the footprint I love. It looks so much bigger than a normal 30g tank, and with low iron glass its going to look great when things start getting added to the tank. So far my zeovit cycle is on day 2. No dosing today or tomorrow. Loaded the tank yesterday with Zeostart3, spongepower, and Zeobac. End of this week I'm expecting to see some algae growth and then add some snails to start cleaning it up. Lights are on schedule. Another fix that I want to implement is some kind of cover for the back AIO section. I'm worried that it will just become an algae trap with the light spread all over the entire tank. I may cut a sheet of plexi glass and paint it black to keep the light out and also make it easy to remove. As the tank starts to age I will report better on equipment and setup thoughts. Mods please change the name of this thread to: Saltlife's SPS Fusion

For the owners out there that have a Jebao WP. Thought this was interesting. http://www.ebay.com/itm/171248174631 The JBWave is a synchronous dual controller/wavemaker designed to control two Jebao WP10, WP25, WP40, or WP60 series powerheads.

Inevo thats pretty slick. I had this one hanging over a 20g.

I had an aluminum one that I made then powdercoated. Raised my light about 9" from the water. But I can make then different heights. I will try to find a pic of it tonight.

They look great in your house. Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad I was able to help you out!

Gary's new tank install build thingamabob

YES finally you started your build thread! Looking foreword to the progress and future updates keep them coming! -
Welcome to my build/progress thread I have been wanting to start. This tank will be a on a zeovit dosage regiment , without the reactor, media in the overflow instead. I will run carbon in the media racks. Hardware: Tunze 9004 Skimmer Vortech MP10w (only one for now maybe two in the future) IM Custom Caddy (when ever it comes out) AutoAqua Smart ATO Evergrow IT 2060 Cobalt 100w Neo Therm Dosage: Coral Vitalizer Zeovit Media ZeoBac ZeoStart 3 Pohl’s Xtra Amino Acid Concentrate LPS Sponge Power 2 part most likely once I see drops in Calcium and Alk in the tank before weekly water changes. I'm very curious about the zeovit products and system but I have faith in it based on reviews and watching on their website so I will be doing exactly how it says for the start up of a new tank and go from there. What is a build thread good for without pics ... I'm not very good about timeline photo's I get to caught in the moment and only think about what I have either in front of me or ahead of me on the project. But It's nearly 98% done and in my house now so that's good enough for me right now. Polyurethane for the finish cote. Unfortunately with my cellphone pics you cannot see the nice gloss sheen in the wood.

A lot of the guys running the IM tanks are using Tunze 9002. Tunze has a great reputation. A common mod for these skimmers are relocating the magnet and getting a third party collection cup. For more info on the Nuvo tanks and peoples builds check out this link: http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/324462-the-innovative-marine-nuvo-index-thread/

Color won't come back to hippo tang...

Whats the reasoning behind this? -
I did a little bit of trolling around on their website. Look at this link, I think it should answer your question very well on its porosity. http://cerameco.com/vidarock-solution/bio-active/

Honestly, member how many has or had red bugs?
SaltLife replied to fscbishop's topic in General Discussion
I don't think someone would want to admit that. I got the red bugs from someone in the club. -

I have had them although I have been using Bayer to dip to much success. Every coral weather the I see something on the coral or not gets dipped. I had once purchased a green acro (unknowingly) that had red bugs. I dipped it in Bayer and the red bugs just fell off when rinsing the coral and that was it. -
Flood in the house, now need to move the tank.
SaltLife replied to MBVette's topic in General Discussion
Guess you could try to look at it in a positive light and get some good cleaning going on with your tank, make it brand new again when your ready to set it up! If you need any help moving it let me know. I had my first floor flood and had to move my 75g out into another house because of it, not fun but it helps when you have someone to help you. -
Wow sorry to hear that. I'm looking at getting it as well. Were did you purchase it from? Was it shipped on a pallet of several or individual package? Have you contacted IM yet for a replacement? How long did you have it? Sorry for all the questions but yours isn't the first 24 to break which kind of worries me.

There are mods people have done to the jebao powerheads to lower them below 50 percent. I would give you some links but not easy to do on this phone. Google with give you the answers.

Beautiful tank. Why isn't this tank a totm?
-
DaveS I'm glad you wrote something up about that generator I have been eying it for a while now. While doing some reserch about it i this . Makes those little generators run of Propane, LP, and Gas. They even warranty the modification for 2 years.

Why are you dosing? In a tank that small water changes should be a frequent thing and unless you have a heavily stocked sps tank your elements should be fine. I'm not yrying to come off as a jerk. Just to save you money and possibly headaches.
-
Seems like you already know the answers to your question although for me personally I would turn the powerhead on. Because if it was to find a comfy place for it to plant itself it may not be so comfy once you turn that powerhead on. When you say won't attach do you mean that it just floats around or do you mean that it moves around? Moving around is normal. Eventully it will find its happy spot. Anemones don't need to eat every day either. Some people spot feed a few times a week. With the flow I have in my anemone tank I allow the flow to take the food to them.

If you have the time Monterey bay aquarium is a great place to see! World renowned aquarium. Little bit of a drive from sf but well worth it.

Was it maybe your temperature swings you were having earlier?

ahh thats right forgot about that other tang. Very very beautiful.
