  1. ahh thats right forgot about that other tang. Very very beautiful.
  2. O yea the by the way greatest build ever with the best guy you could ever meet haha
  3. Hey I think you mentioned somewere. I know sublime did, about achilles tangs wasnt sure if you were going to get one.I went by roozen today and saw two Achilles tangs there. Didnt ask how much but his fish are usually cheaper than most others.
  4. Was just worried about the cerameco not being as porus as some of the rpck I already have and not javing a sump with more rock just had me a little worried.
  5. Looking at getting the SR-80. But I have a few concerns for what I want to do with it. It will be an SPS dominate tank. I would like it to be a bare bottom tank. I already have a tank that is BB and I love it, makes cleaning a breeze. But here is the catch, I will be using CeramEco rock. Not live rock. Also this tank if you don't know is a 80g all in one. No sump for rock, sand, etc. I do plan on having fish but I'm worried about Biological filtration. With nearly no live rock and sand I'm worried I'm may be setting myself up for failure. With all the technology people use these days on their tanks is it possible for me to still set up a successful reef without and live rock and sand. I plan to have a few reactors in the back of the tank and a Tunze skimmer that is much over rated for the tank to help out. Also filter pads for all overflows. Any advice on this setup would be appreciated.
  6. Thanks for the words of wisdom. That's what I needed to hear thank you.
  7. Played with it some more. Cut the ends of the tubing and re attached them. Now I have half an inch to almost an inch of play. That a bit of water in. 100g rubbermaid sump... thought the tolerance would be a little bit righter than that...
  8. I practically submerged in water trying to get it to work.
  9. Thanks for the reply. The code works now. But now I'm having another issue. The pump turns off when I blow into it but when water gets to it, it doesn't turn off.
  10. I'm digging this thread up as I'm using it to set my ATO up. I have done all that was said above except added a few more lines of code to have it turn on two times a day rather than 1. I tested it tonight when it turned on and took the switch to blow in it and the apex kept power to the box which kept pumping water into the sump. Something I'm missing? Also when you guys talk about light you mean the light on the plug that goes into the outlet right? Fallback OFF Set OFF If Switch1 CLOSED Then ON If Time 09:00 to 20:59 Then OFF If Time 21:00 to 22:00 Then ON If Time 22:01 to 07:59 Then OFF If Time 08:00 to 08:59 Then ON Is this correct?

  12. +1 Great words. They are what i lived by on one of my tanks right now. Its at about 100+ days now. Already sooo much life.
  13. Cuc is on its way. The system runs off a 100g sump attached to it is a 20g and a 75g. I have over a 100lbs of rock most of it is in the sump. I'm running a bio pellet reactor and a cs1 skimmer. The 20g has a handfull of anemones and two clarkii. I used them all to help get the system "broken" in. Maybe I should post this in a dedicated tank forum? Haha
  14. I have been cycling my system for over 90 days now and have lots and lots of sponges, tube worms, and all kinds of life inside. I feel pretty comfortable about adding corals and fish to the tank now. This will be an sps dominate tank. I have waited this long I'm on no hurry to add anything fast. I'm not to sure what should be added first. Fish or corals? It seems to me that coral care would be much easier if no fish were present but if I had no fish I'm worried it wouldn't continue the "cycle" of becoming a well established tank. Also what is considered slowly adding coral or fish? A few fish every month? Google seemed up in the air with aome people saying coral first others fish first
  15. Im guessing they are in the piranna family of fish?
  16. A freshwater fish that has human like teeth. http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/3984181
  17. Wow. Possible for this shrimp to successfully spawn in a home aquarium? What are their breeding habits? Must be a pair?
  18. Fish is completely normal in behavior. I will be trying to catch both of these guys in the next few days and FW dip them to be on the safe side. According to the post Sachabballi Posted the individual said that it only transfers fish to fish. Is it safe to say that eggs will not be layed in the tank? I ask because it seems like it would only come back when i put them back into the tank.
  19. Wow never heard of flukes until you mentioned it. I hope it is not because from what little i have read it can lay eggs in the fish or rocks. Not what i want to deal with starting this tank up.
  20. Guys I'm really sorry about the picture not a great view. I know a lot of these threads get tossed around without pictures or crappy ones like mine. these clarkii's only leave their anemones when either they spawn or eat. haha. I tried today to get some good pics but were nearly all useless and gave up trying. They would just eye me from inside the anemone. This is a reef tank but still letting the entire system cycle. I'm waiting 90 days but after 30+ days i wanted some life in the system so i put up the anemone tank. It's a 20g long connected to a 100g Rubbermaid sump and a 75g display tank. Anemones have been doing great tons of life already in the tank. I know the clowns argue a little bit but i figured if they have spawned then the sex of the fish has most certainly been determined and any "lethal" fighting would be over with. Its on the male. This is the best pic i could get it is on his right side. Its the little white spot. Call me crazy but i could have sworn that there was one on his gill as well. Today i only saw on his body that one spot.
  21. Well if it is lymphocytosis virus is it worth intervening? I can't find that much solid information on treatment on it.
  22. Never had to many issues with fish before. I have two Clarkii who were doing great they just spawned in the tank for the first time, they were introduced to it about 1 month ago. The male has developed what looks like lymphocytosis virus, I'm no expert at identifying problems with fish though. I had quarantined the fish 30 days prior to the being introduced to the tank they are in now. I looked on this website to try and identify a problem. Best way i can describe it is that it looks almost like a fungus that is on his gill and side of his body. He is a sneaky little guy and its hard to get pictures of him out of his anemones. A picture I found that looks similar to my clown and what it has would be here. It's very hard to get straight answers on the internet regarding fish diseases using google search. So i just want to see if i can tap into some WAMAS knowledge here. I hope i have provided enough info. All parameters are with in tolerance Nitrites are at 10ppm. What path would be good for treatment?
  23. Well someone said cool fish ... just saying ... haha
  24. I think black tangs are nice.Or the lighting maroon clowns are cool to...
  25. I know a lot of people always ask how to program their apex and sorry to add to. I have the manual for it and when reading it i get a little lost sometimes on how to program things. Right now I'm trying to hook up my avast ATO Deluxe. It has the pressure switch with a fail safe float valve. I got the option for the Apex version so i have the wire for it. I would like to program the apex to use all this but have the ATO on a delay of about 2 hours so that way when the sump needs water it isn't running every 5 min. Could someone lend me and example of what they are using or an example of what i need please. Thank You.
