Woke up this morning to my ATO screeching, and nothing on but my lights. EB8 is flashing orange. Says EB8 and DOS are part of 2 missing modules. All cords appear to be connected fine. I have rebooted several times. I have updated (the Apex and my browser) I have tried different ports. Here is what I am seeing:

Good advice! I’ve got my inverter setup, with a spare battery waiting to go. We’ve been getting brown outs in my area, so I’ve got plenty of wood to keep the fireplace going as well!

Hey there! Thanks for posting up! It looks great! I love nano tanks!
-
Wow! Looks awesome! the alk spike didn’t set you back too much!
-
Show us the front!

Best of luck! I can’t imagine flying with my cat, I hope they do ok!

If you check out tigahboy.h20 on Instagram, he just flew his super nano aquarium across the country to a reefing show. Absolutely doable. if you have help packing the fish, I try to do it (shipping) directly before the last package pickup for priority overnight to minimize time in the bags and cooler. i know a few folks that have printed off the tsa rules to present at the airport if needed. Not to say you won’t get flack, but I imagine it’s helpful.
-
I know you can do it checking with tsa, but it’s hit or miss getting an agent that fully understands the scope of what you are trying to do. Best case scenario, ship yourself to somewhere about where you’re going to be. Maybe get acquainted with your local club wherever that is? i don’t know anybody that ships for hobbyists like this. Maybe take the fish with you, and have a buddy mail everything post?

Absentmind's Red Sea 425 (91 gallon) reef build
YHSublime replied to Absentmind8868's topic in Dedicated Tank (Build) Forum
I’ve had good success with LRS (Larry’s reef service) soaked in selcon to get fish eating. If it was a disease from the clownfish, it sounds like you didn’t go fallow for long, hopefully it turns out alright. Consider adding pods, might help the CB in the interim. -
Check out the orlushy pumps on Amazon, they are affordable and work great.
-
no problem. Even if you do find used one, they are still pretty pricy. I got this as a used display from Capital Exotic Fish when they were breaking down their saltwater side.
-
I have one of the new R-60 tanks, I really like the edges and the angled glass, can clean all the way to the corner with out wiring about the seams.
-
Thanks! Can’t win them all, nice to win some! There’s always something!

Well, I finished the battle with dinos, and won. Great news. I also lost my clam in the process. A few changes I've made all at once, so it's hard to pinpoint. New lights, I took the UV out of the sheathing and ran it in my overflow, I possibly killed all the nutrients. Big water change. Everything else seems unaffected, and thriving even, so who's to say? I also cleaned up my MP40 covers that were pretty clogged, and changed the flow. I added a gorgonian. I had a neighbor shutting down their tank, and I couldn't find a home for it fast enough, so it temporally went into my tank. I like it, but I think I need to trim it back a bit. I also added a mandarin, who has been seemingly doing well, although my success rate with them has never been great. I'm still battling algae, i think from letting the tank get so dirty during the dinos, so my hope is with some routine maintenance and a beefed up CUC I can nip that in the bud. Last but not least, I still have my issue of the blue clove polyps. I'm worried about dosing Fenbendazole, but I need to do something sooner than later. Anyways, here's some photos:

i don’t understand insurance bailing mid job? sorry to hear it though, hope you get it sorted!
-
Once again, a vote for if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. make sure you get your lights sorted, but otherwise I’d trim out the dead stuff, and slowly build back up. Use this time to make changes, clean up the spots the corals made it difficult before, add or subtract some rock work. Keep your current livestock comfortable. I let my tank ride for a year after the crash with just basic maintenance, until I felt the spark to build it back to its glory. Seeing the consistency and the slow bounce back was more enjoyable then tearing it all down and starting over, which I’ve also done. no need to ground zero when you’ve got a good foundation already.

Absentmind's Red Sea 425 (91 gallon) reef build
YHSublime replied to Absentmind8868's topic in Dedicated Tank (Build) Forum
Welcome, looking forward to seeing you build out. I really like the Red Sea tanks, but the seam issue was enough to drive me to the Ultum Nature Systems reef builds instead. Glad you did some research first, a second "Reef Escape is great" bump from this guy! I'd caution against a copperband. I've yet to see long term success in captivity. Just my 2c on CBB's. Outside of that, I'd say it's a pretty solid stock list. You'll might get pushback on the kole in a 90 gallon, but it's kinda silly to nitpick over a 4' tank vs. a 6' tank when we're keeping things in a glass box anyways. Didn't mean to bring all my hot takes to your build thread, but here we are! Lastly, I'd absolutely invest in a lid, especially with wrasse. I love the look of rimless tanks, but I'd venture to say most of your wants on that list will try to carpet surf. I've intentionally kept my fish list simple because I don't want to ruin the aesthetic of a rimless, but just a few months ago I lost the male of my clownfish pair to a deadly dive. I've had the pair for over a decade and kicking myself a bit. -
If a member has too many messages (even read) in their inbox, I don't believe they can add or send until some are deleted. @John-Solo I've even used a rubbermaid tub in a pinch, It doesn't have to look nice!

Sounds like you could move it into a 10-20 gallon and be just fine, I’m betting someone has a tank you can have for free to get you through, if you’re interested in that! i have a light you can borrow
-
I’d personally keep it running, and focus on getting your quality back. I have the Radions on a fall on/fall off outside of Mobius. when my nano crashed while I was on vacation, stuff I thought was dead came back from out of nowhere. Just little flecks o. The rock, it was actually wild. if you’ve been doing this for any length of time, you will understand the loss one of these days. just my two cents.

I had the opportunity to swap out my Noopsyche K7V3's for some Radion G5 Pros. Normally I'm a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" kinda guy, but I wanted a little more flexibility with wireless control (adjustment.) You can step program on the Noopsyche's, it just a long process, and and uncomfortable user experience. That being said, the growth and colors I got out of them made it worth the $2,500 saved. That being said, those noopsyches are now FS, so if you want to also light up your tank on a budget, I'm your guy! Anyways, new (to me) lights, same tank:

Sure. It’s been a while, but is that standard for a 1” drain and 3/4” return? I’m pretty sure it is. I believe I have both those bits you can have, if you want to pick them up in Hyattsville, 20781

I’ve drilled plenty of tanks with Amazon drill bits. Keep it wet, go slow.
