  1. I would try the zeovit lps amino acid, it has done wonders for my lps. New heads on my hammers and my gold torch is much larger in just a few weeks. Quantum reefs carries it if your looking for a place locally.
  2. I think peoples biggest problem with these are getting them to eat, I usually feed a lot and a variety of food which I think makes it easier for me rather then people who feed the same thing all the time. Mine is like Ron's and will eat anything I put in the tank now, just give it options. Last thing is just as you would do with other fish make sure it's healthy before you get it.
  3. I have had mine for 2 years the ones I had before the only problem I had was them jumping. If you plan on getting one look into the Hawaiian ones they look amazing.
  4. I guess I'm going to have a H-E-double hockey sticks of a time with my 300 then with the two part. I don't know if he is planning on keeping clams I thought I remembered seeing somewhere he is planning on keeping large angels I may be wrong though.
  5. I feel like it will take a considerable amount of time before you get to that consumption though. I'm sure those who already chimed in have a better idea though just seems like a lot.
  6. Yea then I don't think it should be a problem.
  7. I would say that 2 gallons would be more then enough, maybe fill them less often then you planned.
  8. I have the vertex 2.5 liter containers on my system which is currently about 240 gallons and fill them up about every month. The tank isn't sps dominated but I do have some pretty large pieces of sps.
  9. Did it break cleanly into one piece? I would be a little more worried if it was a few small pieces rather then one large piece. Other then that sounds like it shouldn't be a big deal.
  10. Ceramaco rock will act the same as live rock after it is cycled, so you will still have your biological filtration. I would suggest being patient and letting the tank so cycle for longer then people usually recommend if your going to go with an sps dominated tank, the longer the tank is established the easier your life will be in the long run.
  11. Definitely sponge my imperator ate all of mine a day after putting him in.
  12. I had a bsj in a tank with 7 tangs and a few wrasse with no problems I wouldn't put to much faith in the article.
  13. Tank looks good. What kind of light are you using?
  14. I should have everything ready to go by the end of next week if I can ever get a day off of work.
  15. I am really impressed with the quality of the vertex dosing containers, they are very well built.
