  1. to connect from outside you would need your public IP address. Did you ever use anything like no-ip.biz to control a dynamic public IP address also with apex fusion you don't even need to do any of this since you can just browse to the apex fusion site and connect to you controller. that way the app isn't needed anymore...i still use the app at times as a 2nd way to get to it usually from my phone when i want to control something
  2. it did happen to one of them...tierra del fuego of all ...shrug...and it was doing very well and had gotten brighter colors than when i got it.. but it has retained the base and i do se PE on the naked part...so i am crossing my fingers and hoping it makes a full recovery.
  3. hey all, i was cleaning my tank today and didn't think i could do this ...but i pumped my turkey baster a bit too hard over one of my corals and it blew the slime coat off...the coral frag was very healthy so i don't think it was dead tissue...it just blew off... the base of the frag still has all the slime/tissue on it... will this heal...anything i shud do ?
  4. looks great and longer than i would have thought a 24 is

  8. don't see anything happening just yet...so i am adding another 250ml of biopellets...should put me close to 500ml recommendation is 1000ml for 200gal water volume...
  9. yea i moved it over to 8 and it worked fine...oddly enough it was working ok in the non relay ports initially but i guess those aren't always predictable for such a low voltage draw...all good now tho ty
  10. I got the ecobak plus a month ago ... Debating if I wanna get this too and mix it with the ecobak plus
  11. following i am interested in knowing more as well...
  12. also when your picking clowns ...there are many kinds...stay away from tomato or maroons cause it will be much harder to add any fish later since they are the most aggressive. i have 4 oscelaris (least aggressive cept my b&w which seem more aggressive than my maroons lol..although its only targeted towards me) clowns in mine...2 orange and white and 2 black and white...got all as juveniles so they all stay together fine.. once you have an pair in there it will be hard to add more...there are also designer clowns that you get great deals on wamas.. if this was a dog show the designer clowns wouldn't qualify but in the fish hobby anything out of the ordinary is extraordinary ...
  13. does the swabbie need to be on port 4 or 8 of the apex aqua controller...i was testing my adjustment for the wiper and noticed that it isn't shutting off is this one of the things that needs to be on the low voltage relay ports of the apex aqua controller?

  16. cool ..did u go interceptor or do dips... also how long before ur skimmer became normal again...mine is just overflowing
  17. my total LR count has been low...and i wanted to do this before my new frags take off..i have been doing qt and dips on new things...but some of my stuff goes back to years ago ...when i was more of a clueless beginner...so just making sure that nothing bad propagates if figured with the small LR count...if there is die off...it shouldn't trigger too bad of a spike...just obervering for now... fish seem happy...pe on most of the corals already... i had done water change this past weekend and now another change with all this
  18. i found a few red bugs on one of my oldest live rock and the tri color valida on it... the bugs were walking on the rocks not on the coral body...i think they were red bugs... i looked around on all my other rocks and coral and didn't see any such activity... it looked isolated to this rock in one corner...and i read that they aren't considered super bad or anything..but i decided to dip everything in revive for 15 min and reintroduce after couple more quick dips in regular saltwater following that....to remove most of the remnants of the revive solution that would have soaked into the lr i saw a lot of die off of copepods...i know my mandarin aint gonna be happy...but that should replenish from the sump over time anyway... so by the end of this i only had sand left in my display and now after this its all back in... what should i be on the lookout for ?...ammonia spike ? so far everything looks happy...my skimmer has gone nuts
