  1. Good idea. I have a video camera for the tank already. Maybe I can set it to record to one of my external hard drives. I will definitely check today on that.
  2. I got her in jan and him in feb
  3. Male has red stripes on face. Fairly easy to tell the difference. Just like most other wrasses add same time or female first.
  4. Just wanted to share. She has been like this for a few weeks. Very little info on breeding them online.
  5. I have 2. Running them at preset #2
  6. Tropical Lagoon was one of the first lfs I visited when I started with reefs. Steve talked me out of a calcium reactor, tested my water for free, ordered fish that aren't normally in stock, ordered cuc in bulk for me and he even once in a while says hello.
  7. I have used them for a year now. Corals and anemones seem fine with them. Had an issue with one fixture last month, coral cue replaced the light. I use one of the preset modes so except for when the light controller board went bad I don't touch or think about them. I switched from 250w mh. Only the anemones were affected and it took them a month to get used to them. The anemones tentacles were stringy they are more bubble tipped now than when I had mh. My newer anemone (3 months ago I purchased it) hasn't changed from when I first saw it in the original owners tank. I have mostly sps from the top of the rocks to the sand bed with some Lps as well. It's a standard 220g.

  10. Great job with the tank. Frags are HUGE! Beautiful fish. Do the cardinals swim a lot? I usually see them just hover in one spot unless they are getting fed.
  11. Wow!! You don't skimp with your coral and fish selections. One of the best selections I have ever seen. Everyone looks fat and happy. You're doing a great job.
  12. Good point. The last few storms Pepco called prior to the storms, I don't know if WSSC has the same capabilities.
  13. Thank you Coral Hind. Another example of one of the benefits of being a WAMAS member. I really hope the WSSC gave a direct notice to those that will be affected.
  14. That was the only coral infected? Has your friend added anything (corals, fish, snails etc) to their tank recently?
  15. Bruce, good luck with your tangs..They seem to be fat and eating well
  16. Excellent build progress, truly a man on a mission. PM if you need any help.
  17. Congrats!! Enjoy him being quiet while it lasts.
  18. My Tunze does it sometimes after I turn it off for cleaning. I have to remove the impeller, wipe off the impeller thoroughly and when I restart it, it usually works.
  19. And it only cost you half a nights sleep. Congrats, it was worth it
  20. Thank you for sharing. So its not just the Euphyliias and acans that have great extensions.
  21. In less than three weeks you went from a tank sitting on the floor to building your own matching stand and canopy. Not bad
  22. Your plumbing is no joke. Good your tank is coming along nicely you put a lot of work into it.
