  1. Bubble King is like the Lexus of Skimmers. Sure you could buy a Honda for way less and still get from point A to B the same but you will defintely notice the difference in how you get there! Same thing for Skimmers and just about everything else for that matter.
  2. Just to add seeing that your also on Well Water like myself YOU WILL NEED A BOOSTER PUMP!
  3. Nam lookin good! Where's the Chalice corals? Lets see some pics!!
  4. Very very nice looking aquarium! So tell me about your AI Fixture. Pro's / Con's. Why did you feel you needed to add the T5's along with it?
  5. Fun Delicious stuff eh? Here was my thread on the whole ordeal... Funky Fish Food Pics
  6. Wow thats huge! I cannot wait till the day comes I can start adding coral and fish to mine. To me it has so much real estate inside of it, I have over 100 ideas for how I want to aqua-scape it! Go Big or Go Home LOL
  7. What percenatge in terms of Power did you start your fixture on? Everybody has been saying start at like 30 or 40% and then move up every week to two weeks in incremits of 10.
  8. On my last tank I ran the ATI Power Module and don't get me wrong. I had great growth and everything looked amazing but there was one draw back I just could not stand...... The amount of Heat it generated in the Summer time! I had to have multiple fans blowing down to cool the water constantly. It just became a huge pain and way more maintenance than I wanted. By the time I got home from work, water temp was well into the red zone. And yes I could have gotten a chiller but I wasn't really looking to have a ridiculous power bill every month from it. I get that already from trying to AC my entire house! The AI fixture is just something I started researching after watching some vids on YouTube about it and how everyone seems to really like it. Its PAR values are very good for DD tanks. I have not really looked into ECO TECH's fixture. So far though I have seen some bad reviews on it???
  9. Actually I have been looking at those Aqua Illumination LED SOL Lights. The vids they have up on Youtube are amazing. You can set the Intensity of the Lights Power from 0 to 100%. Change it from a 6500K all the way up to 20,000K or anywhere in between. Its pricy at $2300 for the 48" kit but I mean it's just sick as all get out!
  10. Tank Dimensions are 48"L x 36"W x 27"D. It did come with the Black Stand Def. gotta change sig. to Found Chad thanks for reminding me
  11. I've always always been a huge fan of this Aquarium! It is HUGE!!! Hired some movers to bring it into my house yesterday and am now looking into how I am going to light it, filter it, Aquascape it and everything else that goes with setting up a new aquarium.... This will be my dream tank so I want to do everything right the first time of course so I plan on engineering it, then CADing it up. I'd like to simplify all the maintenance so I will be def. including all of that in the build up and design. So stay tuned
  12. Nooooooooooooo! Not the Flame Hawk!!!! Man sorry to hear about all the demise but the tank looks amazing! So having to start over with new corals and a new look isn't always a bad thing. Thats where I am at right now and am looking forward to it.
  13. Happy you found the problem Jan, but what led you to the rocks being bad? I know you said the smell but could you smell the stench even while they were underwater or you just started picking stuff out and smelling it?
  14. Still looks awesome!! Like Alien Blood! What up Nam! Hows your aquarium?
  15. Been a long time eh? I've made the decision to come back to Saltwater after a little over a year away. Plus I miss the friends I met on this site. Alot of you sold me some great stuff for great prices and vice versa. So what have I been up to?........ Ball Python Morphs! Some of my collection: So anyways I grew out of it and realized Saltwater was where I wanted to get back to sooooo..... I am not sure what I want to do or how big to go? Kinda in the planning stages and seeing what deals are out there. I know I'd like to go between 125 to 250 Gallons. I remember how with the 90 I felt like I ran out of room to fast and I dont want to make that mistake again. So anyways I'm back and look forward to getting some nice frags from you guys again! -Chris
  16. Well because once the water is lower than the teeth in the overflow how will it continue to drain?
  17. Novi

    Refugium.

I added a bottle of those tigger pods to my fuge and in a months time I bet I had a billion in there. They would just then get cycled out to the DT and the fish would hammer them.
  18. You know how water changes suck..lol. What I want to do is have a hidden pvc pipe in the bottom corner of the tank that connects to a ball valve and then drains to the outside of my house. The pipe will be hidden under some rock work and the top will be screened so no fish or inverts can get into it. So when ever I want to do a water change and lose 10-20% of tank water, all I have to do is turn the valve. Sounds simple right? Is it really that easy or could I possibly run into some problems? I will have the pipe cemented into a bulkhead and be about 4-6" high covered in live rock. Lets here anybodies thoughts. I hate bringing out the bucket and doing a siphon water change. And as stated before I am trying to set this up so I have to do as little as possible.
  19. Oh wow is he amazing!!! Thats so cool!!
  20. Thanks guys I am looking into designing something that will not only be amazing but will require me to do as little as possible. I dont want to be draggin out hoses or buckets when its time to do a water change or top off re-fill. I want to set it up so that I either puch a couple buttone, turn a few knobs and I am good to go! We'll see. I am in the design trenches as we speak
  21. I can help you build one. Where are you located at? Some where in this forum I have pics of my stand build. You could probably do a search and find it.
