  1. Why would you say that its undersized?? Anyways I siliconed the overflow last night as well as picked up my new Return Pump today so tonight I am hoping to finally be back in business
  2. The leopard wrasse would be amazing (if he ever comes out)! List looks good. I have never seen a white cheek tang in person so that would be awesome to have one
  3. Its not going in fast at all as its coming directly from my RO/DI which is 200 GPD.
  4. There are no ball valves on the overflow pipes as I have read to never restrict that flow. I have Epleeds (Eric) stopping by tonight to have a look. Maybe I am explaining this wrong or maybe I am just wrong and dont know it yet...lol So your saying without the return pump on, even with me adding water from the RO/DI to the main tank I shouldn't expect it to gush over the overflow but just trickle?
  5. I see your point but by adding more water to the tank you would think eventually it would just start pouring over the overflow boxes and filling up that chamber quickly and its not and I think its because its leaking into it about an inch below the teeth
  6. Well thats a whole nother issue but as of right now my "new" return pump apparently appears to have been dropped off the top of a building and does not work. But thats kinda beside the point because I cant even get the water to start pouring into the overflow like I should. Had it worked I would be expelling more water out of the sump then would be coming into the sump in a matter of seconds....
  7. I know I dont have a camera sorry... See you would think so right but I have a line hooked directly from my RO/DI into the tank and its just trickling water into the overflow and sloooooooowly going into the sump. But only on one side!! Seems like no matter how much water I put in it doesn't start gushing over the overflow like it should be. My plan is to maybe silicone where I think the leak is coming on the plastic black overflow but its such a small trickle it doesnt make sence why this would prevent the water from rising high enough to flow thru the teeth.... ON BOTH SIDES! Very very frustrated
  8. Ok let me see the best way to describe this so I can get some help.... Ok I have a Dual Overflow Reef Ready 200G tank. It is now filled. However, water is not pouring into the Overflow area like it should be therefore the Overflow Pipe is not siphoning the water to sump like it should be. Why is this happening? Something I noticed is right below the teeth on the left side overflow, a little bit of water is trickling into the overflow area. I am thinking this is happening because the Black Plastic Overflow Box might have a gap just enough for water to get thru. But its not pouring thru and its only on one side so why wouldn't the tank fill up enough for it to pour thru the teeth? Does this make sence and how do you think I can fix this?
  9. They do. I picked up the Reef Keeper during my lunch break. I know its not as Bigtime as the Apex, but for the money you cant beat it. Plus I dont need something like the Apex. Its very easy to use and for me its perfect.
  10. Yeah I was just at BRK last week and they were sold out of alot of stuff! Didnt see any controllers but did pick up alot of Reef Crystals
  11. Looking at either the the Aquacontroller or Reef Keeper Elite. I'd like to pick it up and give my business to one of the local stores rather than order it online plus I'd like to look it over and maybe talk about the capabilities "in person" if you know what I mean.
  12. How long from the time that frag was cut till it was put into your tank? If it was freshly cut from an established system and then put directly into your new system there ya go. Also I agree I wouldn't be adding hard core SPS yet into your couple week old tank. I made that same mistake years ago :(
  13. I do not quarantine fish either? Why.... Its kind of a hastle to have a seperate tank just for that is basically what it comes down to and I dont feel like spending the money for an additional tank or tanks. Sucks you lost so many fish though. Friend of mine had something similar happen years ago..... turned out his youngest kid dumped chemicals in the water because he seen his Dad do it and figured it was ok. Wrong-O. Not saying thats what happend here, I'm just saying.
  14. Amazing! Loving that huge Anemone!
  15. Looks awesome so far. I thought Acans would sting each other? Guess not?
  16. Word the little Tangs thru me too...lol Tank looks really good! You have mad coraline algae! Something I swear I can never get to grow....lol
  17. Holy crap is that your shop? Looks amazing!!!
  18. Ok.... wheeew been mad busy at work but here is an update of where I am now. I finished all my plumbing and layout. Now I just need to primer and cement everything into place. I used that Marcos Rock Mortar on my Pukani Rock to make some pretty cool sculptures. Great stuff if anyone is thinking of using it! I am currently waiting on my tax return so I can order my powerheads and actinic led cannons and I will be good to go I think.
  19. If I am keeping a reef tank I will never have another Angel again. On my 75G a few years ago I had a Flame Angel who devored colonies of amazing Zoas I had. Never again....
  20. His tank is nuts beautiful but his monthly power bill must be outrageous!! From the looks of it though he is Ritchie RICH http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2008-05/totm/index.php
  21. Novi

    Gem Tang

Eh.... its a pretty fish but paying that kind of money for something to just look at doesn't work for me. Not to mention how easy it is for Tangs to get parasites and disease.
  22. On my last tank I bought the most gorgeous looking leop. wrasse from F&F. I saw him once and that was when I put him in the tank. Never saw him again. Even when I sold everything and broke down the tank a few months later. And this happens ALOT with these fish! Good luck
