  1. There is your problem. I had considered trying to run the airline of my skimmer to the outside. Not sure if it would help, but you definatly need fresh air circulation in there.
  2. Do you have any gas appliances(like a water heater) in or near your fish room. FWIW, I have a ventless gas fireplace in my house and if I turn it on in the winter my ph will rapidly drop from 8.2 to 7.8 or lower. If I turn it off and open a window it will come rightback up. The fireplace is on the other side of the house.
  3. It sholdn't hurt it, but it will probably not stick. I have tried super glue multiple times and it only holds for a few hours at most. Best bet is to hold it down somehow and let it attach itself.
  4. You can buy piese of black eggcrate at BRS and not only does it effect par, but there is a fairly large visual difference in the amount of light making it through.
  5. I had to turn the flow valve way down on mine to slow the tumble. BTW, I may consider selling it if anyone is interested.
  6. Mine breed all the time. Not sure what I am doing right(or wrong) but I wish they would stop. I would rater not use filter socks in my sump, but have no choice as they constantly make there way down there and clog up pumps and skimmers. Even with the filter socks I still have to clean 1 or 2 out of the venturi of the skimmer every week. These are margarita snails. I had some ceriths and it one point I saw some cerith babies, but they must not have made it as my cerith population seems to be nonexistant.
  7. I will take ten if you are going to the meeting on Saturday. Thanks
  8. They are officially moved(or at least that is what the email said). Much larger store and apparently a very large fresh water area. I believe the new name is Aquatic obsession or something like that.
  9. "Circulation: 2 Vortech MP40W Powerheads or 2 Tunze 6101's on an Aquasurf" Or, if you are brave, aquasurf those MP40's. I have done mine and absolutely love it. I still let the mp40's run in reefcrest, but use the aquasurf to slow them down at night and during feedings.
  10. The season table can be changed, I am just not sure to what extent. It can't be done through the network connection, it must be done in aquanotes ifI remeber correctly.
  11. Understood, but here is a small portion of my season table: Jan 01 07:33/18:51 13:29/01:29 02 76.0 Jan 02 07:33/18:51 14:18/02:18 04 76.0 Jan 03 07:33/18:52 15:07/03:07 05 76.0 Jan 04 07:33/18:52 15:56/03:56 06 76.0 Jan 05 07:33/18:53 16:44/04:44 07 75.9 Jan 06 07:33/18:53 17:33/05:33 09 75.9 Jan 07 07:33/18:54 18:22/06:22 10 75.9 Jan 08 07:33/18:54 19:11/07:11 11 75.8 Jan 09 07:34/18:55 20:00/08:00 12 75.8 Jan 10 07:34/18:55 20:48/08:48 14 75.8 Jan 11 07:34/18:56 21:37/09:37 12 75.7 Jan 12 07:34/18:56 22:26/10:26 11 75.7 Jan 13 07:34/18:57 23:15/11:15 10 75.7 Jan 14 07:34/18:57 00:04/12:04 09 75.6 Jan 15 07:34/18:58 00:52/12:52 07 75.6 Jan 16 07:34/18:58 01:41/13:41 06 75.6 Jan 17 07:35/18:59 02:30/14:30 05 75.5 Jan 18 07:35/18:59 03:19/15:19 04 75.5 The first two numbers after the date are sunrise sunset. Why can't i make the sunrise for the 18th 2-3 hours different than the 16th?
  12. Just checked and that appears to be correct. I believe on the JR you only have the 1st of the month and it calculates the rest, but on the III it is broken down by the day. Looks like it should work.
  13. I have a remora with overflow box I would like to sell. With that being said, I have yet to see a HOB that does not introduce microbubbles into the tank. I managed to get it under control on the remora, but it took a lot of experimenting.
  14. Probably a bit of a drive for you, but I think BRK has those plugs also. Edit: Nevermind, just read what you said about that above.
  15. I believe it was said that the plugs and glue were donated by Live Aquaria, but I could be wrong. Edit: I am pretty sure that is the same plug on the Dr Fosters site. Also check out these frag plug stations. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod...fm?pcatid=18976
  16. I have had one for about a week... and it is still in the box. Wife had a baby, so I have not had much time to play with it. It looks very well built and if it works anywhere close to the way my mp40's work it will be a great little pump.
  17. What type of pump? Can you get a sponge filter for the inlet? The live rock idea will help also. You may have to put the baffles back in.
  18. The hole might be to big, but I dont think what you want to do is going to work. I think anything with small enough holes is going to restrict the flow too much. The screen works well if you can ball it up and shove it in a baffle or something like that.
  19. You could use some fiberglass window screen from your local hardware store. It is cheap and works fairly well on microbubbles or BRK has filter socks in stock usually.
  20. +1 on the Radio Shack AC fan. With one of those and a heater attached to the AC JR on my 29 gallon seahorse tank the temperature has not varied by more than the .5 degrees + or - from the 75 degrees that it is set for. Before the fan it would easily hit 78 where the AC JR would shut down the lights to cool it off. Fan is installed in the hood blowing down on the water.
  21. Server must be down. It worked a few minute ago, but not now.
  22. According to his ad in RC, he is asking $12,000.
