  1. Thank you very much for sharing that option. I currently have a 5g bucket I am using but it's too larg to fit under the stand so I want to get something I can hide for a better look.
  2. I agree I am going to go with the 1.5g since it will take up less room under the stand.
  3. If you use a seperate waste container that recycling feature is no longer useful. Also, That recycling feature is not 100% sure thing so don't count on it to save you from a flood.
  4. Thank you very much Ryan, I am going to redo everything under my stand and see if I can get the 5g bucket one to fit under it. Either way I'll be getting one of them for sure.
  5. Thanks everyone! Thanks I think I am going to have to invest in the davy jones. I had a 5g bucket that's what saved me from having 10g dumped on the floor. I am also going to play around with everything under the stand to set up the skimmer with out having to worry about this happening again hopefully. thanks everyone for the input. If I decide the Avast is the rout I want to go which one would work with my system?
  6. I have officially had enough of my Super Reef Octopus XP-5000 External Protein Skimmer randomly flooding my wooden floor and burned my reefflo dart. Came home today to find it had gone nuts and dumped around five gallons on the floor. Between it and the BRS rock that keeps leaching Phosphate which has caused me to lose all my coral and has not allowed me to keep corals alive since the upgrade to this 180 G I am very close to calling it quits for a while and downgrading to one of my smaller tanks. Sorry for venting! Don't get me wrong the skimmer pulls out some nasty things and I'll be keeping it for when I move and I can have a fish filter room where I can set it up so if it does flood the water will just get dumped back into the sump but for now I have to replace it. What is a good internal skimmer that you guys recommend? Fish list: Blue Tang vlamingi tang Lavender tang Flame Angel Cherub Angel file fish 3 chromis Tank is bare bottom Thanks for the help.
  7. Sweet! Now I have two cool shows to watch.
  8. I'll take the MP10 I can pick it up sunday but if you want I can paypal you the money.
  9. I wonder if the cat is trying to make friends with the dolphins or trying to figure out a way to eat the big fish? Cute video, thanks for posting.
  10. PM'd about Wood stand and canopy for 75 gal tank (and a free 75 gal tank)- $100
  11. sorry bro you are unfortunately right those definitely look like red bugs in the second picture. :( Time to kill those suckers.
  12. take a picture and post it first to make sure just to be safe.
  13. Hey huy, That little piece of wire doesn't come with the ballast. You have to cut a piece of wire your self and connect the two bulbs together that are using the brown wire.
  14. Don't worry you are not the only one. My 180 upgrade has been nothing but a pain in my butt since the begining. It's starting to make me wish I never upgraded to it and shut down my 72.
  15. hey Huy, Plug the wiring harness back into the ballast that isn't working again and see if it turns on at all again. If it doesn't turn on at all then it blew the fuse when you started it the first time. If that is the case there should be a round gray little thing on one of the ends of the ballast that has a slot on it for a crew driver to go in and turn it till the fuse comes out. You can get the replacement fuse from home depot. If the light comes on for a second again then it's something wrong with the connection on the ballast. Hopefully it is easy fix.
  16. Stay away from the Aquamedic dosing pump they suck. I have two and both went out on me after a few months use.
  17. "When I plug the power cord the lamps lid on for 1 sec then off." Hey Huy, Been a while, hope all is well! 1. Do you have a seperate power cord for each one or are you running all 3 on one power cord? 2. Check the fuses on the ballasts that are not lighting up they might need to be replaced.
  18. I agree I have used both and don't like them at all. They clog up way too fast and flow through them gets real weak. Definitely go with something like an Avast reactor.
