  1. Hey Roscoe thanks for the suggestion, Petco is an idea. (a bit costly)
  2. I would like to do about a 40% water change on my system! Does anyone know of a service that can deliver high quality premixed balanced H20? (150g of the good stuff) Thanks
  3. Hello all! Quick question: Has anyone figured out how to connect with the lights from the internet. Anyone have any ideas??? I guess I could connect it to an old laptop (wifi enabled) via the USB & then use PC Anywhere to remotrly control the laptop. Does anyone know of an easier way? Any forcasted plans from EcoTech to develop a infrastructure interface? Thanks!
  4. Hey Rick, welcome to the club! For a seasoned veteran like Chad, yes the rule is old and antiquated! I usually apply measurements to my entire volume of water or system capacity as opposed to just what I have in the Display Tank. Hope that helps!
  5. Wow this is really looking good! I want some of those Zoas when they are ready to be thinned!
  6. Looks sleek but, it's not wireless. Appears to require a USB connection at all times to give you real time updates. The PAR meter looks like a cool feature!
  7. Wow, busted open! That would be a nightmare... Ok so has anyone removed the cage & then put it back together? Maybe I could get it down my stairway if it were not so big and bulky... Thoughts?
  8. So I picked up a 275g IBC Tote and I would like to make it into a sump for my 300g tank. I think I've seen a few other members do this before and I have questions... Can I take the plastic tote out of the support cage? (with the cage it will not fit down my stairs or into the tank room) Is the cage for stability when the totes are being stacked or can I fill it with water once it's been separated (if it can be separated)? With it being plastic, I can move the tote down the stairs and place it snugly into the space between the tank and the wall (they would become the new "support") Any help, suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Woo Hoo I'm a Reefer!

  10. Wow what a cool video, thanks for sharing! It never ceases to amaze me that in the wild so many predators live within the reef, yet the system seems to thrive. None of the predators seem to over eat the prey species. Natural design is awesome!
  11. Wow this is really cool!
  12. Welcome to the club! Those videos are cool, they look so professional! What software are you using to edit? The algae scubber on the mantis tank was a nice touch.
  13. I have an AC III but its missing the power adapter. (I have been meaning to order a new one)
  14. Congrats Rob...That is amazing! Now quick draw a map and show the rest of us how you escaped the maze so we can be free to! Ray
  15. Wow this is a Really nice lookin tank! Keep up the good work. What equipment are you running?
  16. Yeah they can be a little messy but if you get them to breed the male will hold the eggs in his mouth to protect them. Unique and cool!
  17. Check out the Yellowheaded Jawfish.
  18. Yeah they are scary! Check out the thread on the worm I pulled out of my tank. Big Worm
  19. Boo...you are what you eat & my fish are already ornery. I would not be surprised if this was the main food of damselfish, I swear those fish are terrorist!
  20. Wow this is a really nice design! Very neatly put together and it looks like it was well thought out! I originally had the side of my tank exposed like this but, decided to close it off. The way my tank is positioned in the wall people could see the side view before they saw the whole tank. I like the effect of guest not knowing it is there and then walking in and being like "WOW"! How long did it take you from start to finish? Thanks, Ray
  21. Brian is correct! I pulled out roughly 350lbs of rock to remove one "Devil" damsel fish! I still have a few damsels (2) 3 striped and (2) 3 spot... but the other fish keep them in check. The 3 striped damsels actually growl at the glass if you sit too close to there territory!!! Do yourself a favor and give that damsel to someone who is cycling a tank...(harsh I know but, the other option is sticking it in the freezer!)
