#1 Yellow Coris Wrasse, get a small one about 2-3" long and let it grow! Had one for years that got to be about 6" long and never bothered anything except the pods until it got about the 6" level and started to feed on the Nassarius Snails, but a beautiful fish that you will enjoy!!
-
ANSWER: Harlequin Shrimp!! I had 100's of them in my frag tank and main tank! I know I've heard that they don't bother much, but I don't like the idea of seeing them crawling all over my Montis/Danae, etc. The Harlequin would literally go around and one after another pull the Starfish off the glass and go at it! Was pretty cool and they are of course very beautiful too! So if you all remember, I picked up a Harlequin and turned it loose in my 30g frag. These guys metabolisms must be off the charts! I usually see 50-80 of them on the glass at night in a BB tank, after 2 weeks, I noticed fewer, after 3 noticeable MIA!! Was talking to Chip about moving it to my main tank, A couple of days later only noticed a few stragglers and was planning on moving 2 days later when the next day I found it dead in the tank! So my recommendation is to allow them to reduce the numbers, but when you get them to just straggler levels to move on to another tank quick!!
-
OK Gang, remember the next time your visiting one of those NICE tanks to remember to "ACCIDENTALLY" drop a hammer or TWO in the tank!!!! YAHOO!!!! Frag fest a coming!!!!
-
you don't think they would be that stupid as to not cover their sales tanks would you???
-
OK, Who has a new Koi Pond??????
-
Keep the same, will shoot you later for coming up with this PITA!!!

Matt If your canopy is only 20" wide x 15" deep and 12" high, considering welding for something this small would be a huge over kill? If all you want is to move it out of the way, I would recommend 1x2 board frame and 1/4 plywood covering for ease of getting in and out. Somewhere I believe I'm not getting what your trying to do???
-
Matt seriously WELDING?? How big is this canopy?? I'm a Certified Welder, but I would look at something alot less weight then what your looking at, like sheet metal or better yet wood, won't rust? Real curious to see your diagram of what your trying to do???
-
Can also depend on if there is water in the bag or not??

SAD NEWS - DOLLY 2 has gone to the big water in the sky! ...in pieces!!! The big RBTA Saturday night was doing great during the evening feeding in my frag tank and before going to bed around 1pm, did a check on the tanks for some reason and saw in horror that it went Walk-About and got its tentacles stuck in the MJ1200 intake. Was stuck so bad, I had to cut the intake cover in half to get it out! Next day, looked great and thought that was the end of it! Was going to split it later this week for auction soon. THIS Morning got up and went to feed the tank and she had crawled across the tank and got stuck AGAIN in another MJ, but this time I had little RBTA pieces blown all over the tank!!!! I took scissors and cut her away from the intake! All that is left of her is the base, still stuck on the wall holding on for dear life! Time will tell if it comes back but for those waiting for her. Might be a long time!! -
Question for NAGA and other Acrylic Owners
HowardofNOVA replied to OUsnakebyte's topic in General Discussion
DUDE!!! For $532.35 USD, you better want to have a cigarette after cleaning!! Jeff, Can you put a sheet of Starfire GLASS on the front of an Acrylic Tank??? -
I agree strongly with what SanJay mentioned, buy fish in pair and you will be MORE happier, besides they will have a buddy and will be out in the water colume more! I'd have a pair of Firefish now and they are out and about more often then in pairs. Also had a Pair of Purple Firefish with the pair of regular Firefish in the 90g and all seemed to get along "ok" but might have got a bit crowded, so will for the sake of this post, recommend ONLY 1 pair of one or other!

Excellent Tank Dave, especially in person!! -
Does anybody know of anyone who has one of these?
-
Freezerburn, don't give the sickos any ideas! I use it in my QT, but as already mentioned, NOT IN YOUR MAIN TANK!!

With a 28g system, do about 3x WC (Water Change) in 5g sealed containers in the last couple of weeks before you leave. This will give you 15g of old water when you arrive there. 20g would be just as good if you have the room? Also have 10g of New Already made SW (Saltwater) too. This should quicken the acclimation process when you arrive! Do the breakdown the day of your trip, if you have access to a LFS (Local Fish Store) near you, have them RE-Bag your items with Oxygen to help in the transport. Put everything in a Large Styrofoam cooler with a heat pack to keep the temperature consistant. Acclimate as soon as possible when you arrive.\ Hook up your RO/DI unit under your sink to get new water started for a WC as soon as the SW mixes! good luck!

My 90g Rimless Starphire Tank

Ahhh Bob, I have an Air Compressor and Nailers to put that beast together?? Cheaper and easier to do!!! ....ah, ok, might not look as good? .....and might not have the same PRO appearance? .......and ...... oh @^$$ DUDE, AWESOME WORK!!! GEEEEZZZ, We Harry Home Owners don't stand a chance around here with guys like BOB and DAN around here showing us how it is done!!!! -
Trips like this, you will probably have a ton of things to do! Scuba would be the best way to see the reefs, with snorkeling second! BUT, a ton of equipment to take along or fooling with, so recommend that you buy a good personal setup of Snorkel, mask, fins and a couple underwater cameras! Less to fool with and more time to relax and enjoy the trip!

Thanks Larry, but the original setup, had a ton of viewable caverns and this one current turned out with less "viewable", but the fish will enjoy the holes under the corals! ...as long as I can keep my hands out of the tank! -

Avalanche!!! All I wanted to do was was remove one simple Devils Hand from the LR for Justin (Auction)! What happened next SUCKS and kept me up to 3am this morning and STILL home messing with it!! It was like a slow motion Horror Movie as bascially my entire rock structure collapsed AND rolled as it did it, breaking over a dozen corals and frankly by 3am, doesn't even look like the same tank!! Pictures above from last week and below while the tank is less than 1/2 day in recovery!!! Side view: Lower Center: Top left Alien Eye: Lower Left: Can anyone tell me what Blue Zoo's these are? Some say Tubbs and some say not? Been along time that I had them and can remember where I got them from? The RBTA was position in the back left side of the tank (IF she stays there) so as not to see the bald spot when she is not open, but would put her on top of the back of the tank when out??
