  1. Awesome tank and setup sir!!! Is the First closeup pic of Teal Staghorn?
  2. I totally agree with that the "Marketing Crazy" has gone wild with current process of jacking up prices, especially with the Aussie corals going with crazy prices and especially they are grow great in all tanks! Good ranting!! (BTW - Will be selling shortly, my "Howard's Super RED AUSSIE Enchino", get your loans ready!!!!
  3. Sorry Scott for your losses! But the good news is with your experience you will come back wiser and stronger for it! I've changed 3x from 30g to 75g to 90g and each time, took a bit of time off and came back wiser for it! Do as Justin mentioned, do the water flushes, let the system run for circulation and take some time AWAY from the day to day and PLAN how you want to come back strong and will be here to help!!
  4. The Large frag will be on auction in the next couple of weeks!
  5. Chalk up one SAVE!!! I had the Chalice covering a hole in the rocks and the RBTA decided the smooth bottom made a good foothold, EXACTLY in the middle of the coral bottom! Nothing touched the top!! I lifted the foot out of the water and with my fingernail, it surprising came off pretty quick! I guess it didn't like its foot out of the water. I place in its previous spot and went deep! I then moved about 20# of the new LR, put the old on top to cover the WHITENESS and then rearrange everything! Actually I'm pretty happy in what I did, so will keep my fingers the RBTA likes it new spot and will come out to play tomorrow!
  6. I come home tonight to see that my RBTA decided to move, So I started trying to push it back under the rocks and realized it attached itself to the bottom of my $120.00 Red AUSSIE ECHINO!!!!! Took me forever to get him off but put him back into a safe spot!! Funny now, but not a few minutes ago!!!

  10. I loved the older style, just had to remember to give them a vinegar bath every 6 months and where like new! New size has potential for sure!
  11. IMHO: hippo tang YES flame angel YES, but probably will nip your SPS/LPS and possibly clam. LAST FISH to go in! blenny midas or lawnmower YES heniochus butterfly....actually 2 or 3 Get the B/H Heniochus Diphreutes, NOT ACUMINTAS, Great fish! A pair of firefish gobies, cool when in pairs, but introduce early on and at the same time! longnose hawkfish, I LOVE Hawkfish, but I love my Shrimp more! Tough to have both with these? Sixline wrasse, Introduce before Flame and after your tank ages for 6 months plus! pair of cleaners, Blue or Gold Neon Striped Gobies, always get mine at BRK! blue or green maxima clam, I would recommned 6 months to a year before adding this one! Need to get your water right first and new tanks are going through too many changes! Congrats on the setup!!
  12. Try live brine shrimp? Cyclopeez, Black Worms, mysis? Mine ate everything!
  13. 10g tank with light, MJ1200, heater, Biowheel filter with just poly inside, NO CARBON and a couple of ceramic mugs. (In case they want a drink!)
  14. Steve and Chris, What is the second one down? Very sweet!
  15. Ok, can we like ban Chris from these things! Too cool sir!
  16. Go with the B/W Heniochus Diphreutes for Moorish Idol! Percula would be good Hippo in the 90g would excellent Same with the Royal Gramma, Cleaner Shrimp & Yellow Tang. Tell the kids the Puffer and Damsels didn't make it in your Sequel!!
  17. Troy, Hard to say about the twitching, but seems that your doing everything right? Beautiful Fish BTW!!! I reached my 1.010 a couple of days ago and brought it up until last night when I put my Heraldi in the main tank. Doing well this morning, so might be time to bring yours up as well if he is eating fine?
  18. Yes, I have that same problem!!! Everytime we come out to your store, you take our money?? Why is that? It's bad enought we have to care those heavy boxes of beautiful healthy corals and fish, but you leave our wallets empty!! I sure your excuse is to balance the loads out in our arms, but this is really becoming an issue!
  19. SteveM, DON'T DO IT!! I'm almost positive the brand you have now is the brand I used for years and alot of Aquariums across the country have used with great results! I too have had times with the slight brown skim but has been minimal and not noticed anything in the tank! BUT, The brand has a binding agent that no other brand uses and can't remember the exact details, but a little research will find it. What happens is when you change brands with out it, it reacts with the non binding agent releasing alot of bond metals in the mixture, causing a rush of these metals released into the water. Have been numerous post of guys bleaching out their entire tanks! If I have time, will try to locate the exact post? Anyone else can comment on this? I'm pretty sure this is the brand, but may be thinking of another!! The product is great when you use it by itself, but be careful mixing!!!!
  20. Awesome Pics sir, NEXT time your BORED, call me and I'll give you directions to my house and tank!!!
  21. Saw this post: Feeding Corals via Marine Depot Also had a conversation with Lee VAIronman and wanted to know what others do for corals that we NORMALLY don't spot feed, besides Sun Polpys, etc?: ACANS LPS SPS etc? What do you feed and any particular way you do it?
  22. Submitter: Howardofnova Camera: Canon Shurshot Subject: Split RBTA taking over the world! Tank: 90g center stage!
  23. Don't tell that to Jose "seantadez"! I stopped over to visit him one day and when we walked about to the tank, a full size Powder Brown Tang I believe was almost completely swallowed by his baseball size Green BTA!!! He said it was swimming around his tank, earlier that morning! Remember, their animals, they have no considerations that the fish are not food!
  24. Dave, I have obligations until 4pm, so that would be cool to stop out and see your TV again!
  25. That site is a PITA to get registered! Still waiting for a reply!
