  1. http://www.brineshrimpdirect.com/Brine-Shrimp-Eggs-c2.html may be helpful.
  2. Rumor on the street would be Icecap was sold to a company down in Florida and the Chap 11 is a way to hopefully write off some of the debt while they get all their ducks in a row. Stay tuned...
  3. No I did not only several SPS pieces as they would get covered with the dino and parish in hours at times.
  4. The last of it I can see in my system is on the Sea Swirls, and it is dying back on those as we speak. Tomorrow I will remove those and get them cleaned up, and I "Think" it is finally gone 100%. I would say that the battle I have fought is going on six months as well. The only thing I have done differently this last treatment is get my PH up and keep it there for three weeks. My ALK went up to 13 [by mistake], and I have gone three weeks now since my last water change. We'll see what happens when I do a large water change this weekend and I'll report back. Good luck with your system as well!
  5. Been dealing with the dino myself for what seems months. It comes it goes it comes it goes. Right now it seems to be gone and has been for about 10 days now. I did exactly what you are doing but I left my lights off for four days as I raised my PH in the beginning of this treatment. 8.4 was all I was able to achieve and that was by dosing a ton of PH up. Pretty tough to do with the lights off. I also raised my ALK which to be honest got out of hand for a minute and I got it all the way up to 13. [May not seem high but I am normally around 8] That was achieved in two weeks. Only noticed that by some slight bleaching to some of my SPS pieces. Did a water change each day for four days straight and I am hoping it is gone this time. It's a real PITA for sure. GL
  6. If you do a little searching on some of the larger sites it is pretty clear MB7 is more widely used. It's also a lot easier to find, and as you said much cheaper. I have had undetectable nitrates since Aug 08. I have also used the Prodibio with good results. Just costs wayy too much on a 400+ gallon system.
  7. Guessing it "may" be a small piece of galaxia coral that was left over from a colony. I recently rescued several pieces that were about dead and they are on the come back and look a lot like your picture.
  8. Not too sure many people have heard but the coral banded shrimp and royal gramma will team up and hunt them together as a team. The red coris wrasse is also a BW hunter although they will move everything not glued down searching for them.
  9. After spending hours researching it, I am "pretty sure" it is a type of tunicate. Feels like a softie coral. I actually never found one that looks exactly the same, but I did find one that came very close. Right now it is in the receding stage however it will go away, and come back. It's never seems to really harm anything, and it stays to that one rock so I leave it alone. At full bloom it is pretty cool. You can come by any time bro. Just give me a shout when your going to be over this way. I know that 2 1/2 miles is so far.HA
  10. At the moment I am using four, but am planning to upgrade to six fairly soon. Lost a dual ballast a month or so ago which set me back a bit and had to replace that first.
  11. The new site is beautiful as well and very well updated. Congrats!
  12. Someone has been doing some Serious collecting since the last time I was over. Looking fantastic!
  13. I personally don't know of anyone that gives you the variety they offer most of the time. They seem to always have something I NEVER see at any other shops. Just be sure to quarantine anything that comes from there, or ANY shop for that matter. Some of us have had to learn the hard way. I'd say that Roozens is for the more experienced reefer who knows what they want, and what they are looking at. A lot of there stuff is trans shipped, so it comes straight from the reefs and does not go through any type of treatment. The service you get is going to be hit or miss but it's for sure an experience going there. I always enjoy it myself and try to make it there a few times a year, but it's two hours from me.
  14. PETCO I wouldn't consider a LFS personally, but that's me. You also need to be very careful whomever you decide to get your fish and other animals from. One can never be too safe in this hobby.
