DIY are much cheaper IMO but the reefbright strips are easy.... the royal blue LED's gives a significant "POP" to florescent corals. I prefer them over T5's for that reason. however I have yet to see proven data that they are better for growth and the health of the coral. why not add both?

dude anything you put in that tank will be popped/hammered by the mantis. I have a couple dendros that even though were not eaten but they were destroyed by the mantis being curious.

the magic number is 3!! 3 times in the washing machine on a hot cycle. problem gone. make sure you wash with bleach for the 1st cycle and 2 hot water only. -

Even still. Petland doesnt mistreat their dogs and the cages are aways clean. So I really don't see your point.
