my fuge light is a AGA grow light mounted in the top of the cabinet. Seems to work very well and I run the light 24/7.

I had this guy in NYC build me this tank, 25"Lx12"Wx14"H with dual 1" overflows. I have the return by a MAG9.5 going through a SQID wavemaker (thank you steveOutlaw). The lights are CoraLife AquaStart 150 14K MH, which equals to 15 watts per gallon at only 14 inches deep. My Nano's Birthday is December 2006.

    AGA 20 Gallon Sump

From the album: "It's not the size that counts"

I had some 1/4" glass panels made for a bubble trap and fuge section, let me know what you think. BTW the skimmer is coming this Friday via UPS. The skimmer is a Euro-Reef RS5-3 which will go into the first section of the sump.

  10. whats up Leishman? yeah I'm glad I met you and Gadgets last week at BRK you guys are hilarious. Whats going on with Gadgets anyways; he's selling his tanks off? Does anyone know how to attach pictures to the thread as a post? I took some pics of my tank and wanted to show you.
  11. yall are great, yeah I'll post some pics today, I'll get ye ol camera out and snap a couple for WAMAS, BTW when I do; I really would like some pointers cause this is my first "nano" and I don't think I've got everything down to a science just yet! yauger oh I'm happy I join WAMAS, yall are great!
  12. I have to agree, John helped me out when he was busy running around with Gadgets; even though I had tons of questions he still had the patience to explain his setup to me and give me a tour of his store... 2 thumbs up for BRK!
  13. thatfishplace has great deals on both live stock and hardware, and as a bonus the shipping is cheap to Springfield and since they are within 250 miles the ground shipping gets here next day. can't beat that.
  14. I also agree, I always see some sad depressing scene in their tanks. I'm surprised no one has said anything about their outstanding customer communication skills there... I think the last time I went to get live brine this tall fellow (think he is the resident fish manager) told me to come back later because hes too busy.... I wouldn't have mind the wait but just to hear him say sorry bud, come back later, kinda isn't right....
  15. dang, wish I had the space in my house for somethin like that! I'm keepin my eye on this one....
  16. very cool project, just wondering what do you plan on using for filtration?
  17. thanks guys I paid my $20 via paypal, I hope this should enable me to see more forums than I do now, especially the selling forum cause I need a skimmer. Happy Memorial Day! HOOAH to all US Army soldiers out there!
  18. silly question.... how do I pay for the year membership? Also is there a buy, sale, trade fourm? thanks!
  19. thanks everyone! I'm sure that the $20 a year will be a good investment. I really hope to get to know everyone here so I can better my tank and maybe get some frags here and there! thanks again!
  20. hey everyone I just wanted to drop a line and introduce myself. My name is Josh and I have been keeping reefs for about 5 years now with a 120 gallon being my first. I now have a 15 gallon custom nano with a 20 gallon sump with fuge. The tank mainly has zoanthids in there for now but I really want to keep some hard corals in there later on. I'm a student at NOVA and George Mason University, I also work for SAIC in the IT security field, and a husband of 8 years to my wonderful wife. I am from Korea (military brat, claim the place you stayed the most years) and my wife is from Panama. I got into reef keeping because I go to Panama once a year for Vacation (own a condo there) and go scuba on the reefs off the coast (for those who didn't know Panama's coast line is in the Caribbeans) Seeing all the corals in my tank brings me back down to that peace place where beer is $.50 a bottle and the pace is very lazy. well in any case it's very nice to meet yall and I hope to see you at the next meeting! oh and I'm not very creative with user names and such so I just used my last name, besides most of my friends call me that because it used to be our favorite drink. Cheers! Yauger
  21. just finished building a 20L sump with the GE I silicone, worked great. on top of that it was cheap, cause I think superpets sells it for $11 a tube.
