  1. Hey if you ever want to use a reefkeeper wet band saw made for reefing I have one and would only tax for a frag of course, but you have to come to my house
  2. Tagging along since I'm also redoing my tank.So OLD Reefer You have 3 MP 40's and no sand storms or blowing around. I have heard allot of people using the seafloor for carib sea which is larger.
  3. thanks for posting I will have to show this to my wife!
  4. personally adding a kalk stirrer and a dosing pump was one of the best upgrades my tank has ever gotten. sounds like you need one. with a stirrer and the top off you should be good.
  5. +1 Thanks Tom he let me in on this a year AGO and now that all I buy! It says on the box not for aquariums HA!HA! Everyone is so worried about Law suits or something.
  6. if you want to mke the hike over to Maryland I would gladly help you out and cut/frag it up with my reefkeeper band saw. it works the best since it is a wet and very thin diamond blade. A dremel can burn them but is another possibility. Curtis
  7. Yes its mostly dude's in the club.
  8. I "think/hope" I might be getting a apex big boy and 2 energy bar 8's for Christmas. I also have a 240 for 5 years and only one tank crash from a heater, but i'm starting over with new rock and water in the next 2 months,so I want to start right this time.

  14. +1 back in the late 80's and 90's that place rocked.I would always go there after going skiing up north, but it a differant store now.:(
  15. I used a basic one not sure of the RPM but if I were going to by one all over I would get the high speed cordless,(no electrocution problems if you have wet hands. If you are going to do allot of fragging of some delicate corals like Chalice and other LPS i would looking into the reefkeeper saw(the one Kyle was using at the frag fest. (I got the same one for Christmas) I love it because it uses water so not as much burning of the flesh. but of course its like 279.00. as far as the cut wheel, you have to use the diamond cut off wheel. I hope this helps.
  16. so where do you get the fish oil from?
  17. I'm getting ready to set up my new equipment from the Avast build party(awesome idea, thanks). I going to up- grade my set up by using one Mag drive 9.5 pump to drive the Avast Mutiniy 11 ozone reactor/Avast Mr18 carbon post filter and tee off for my bio pellets in a deltec reactor. bla bla So my question is do I just start running the pellets or Do I prep them in a 5 gallon bucket with some bacteria supplement? I saw Justin had a post a while back on this, but I'm not sure if much has changed. any help this would be great. oops tank is a 240 gallon with 50 gallon sump. Thanks Curtis
  18. I always break or cut off what I need into a glass cup and then thaw my food with ro water, then I feed my tank with the cocktail, some people say to rinse all the water out and use only the big food chunks, but i use the liquid and all,(maybe that's why I have high nitrates) Curtis
