Fall Meeting Frag Trades / Sales

NOTE: Remember - Before posting either that you have something to offer or that you want to reserve an item, make sure you will be able to attend the meeting. In the past, we have had several people, including me, bring reserved items only to find out the person who requested it did not show up. To be fair to all, either show up at the meeting or make arrangements to pick up the items before the meeting.

Off the top of my head I've got quite a few heads of frogspawn to trade. One variety has both neon green and purple tips and on some of the tentacles the purple and green are swirled together. I've got 2-3 golfball size heads of this. The other variety has a bit more yellow but also has the green(not neon though) and purple tips. I probably have upwards of ten heads that I could frag up. I'll put up pics later. Of course I've got some of the Russian's neon GSP, some red blastomussa merletti polyps, some mean grean zoanthids, quite a bit of xenia, a couple of mangroves. I'll have to check to see what else I have. I'm looking for blastos, lords, really any colorful LPS, some blue and some red zoanthids.

I will be cleaning all the montipora frags off the bottom of the 90, and pulling the loose red mushrooms out of the fuge and seagrass tank. I won't charge for the montis or the shrooms.

-rust/purple polyps (phisiqs, WeaponX, Charlie, Ali)

 

Green encrusting monti (valeria, phisiqs, WeaponX)

 

Red mushrooms (WeaponX, OUsnakebite, Charlie, 6-8 available)

Red shrooms with green pimples (valeria, phisiqs, WeaponX; OUsnakebite)

 

Yellow sinularia (valeria, raf)

 

The amazing, fast-growing sea rod gorgonian (valeria, raf, charlie, phisiqs)

 

I plan to bring a grab bag of unidentified cap frags from the bottom of the tank as well.

I will be brining a frag tank again with ~40-50 frags of various SPS and Zo's. I will have blue torts ($10 to $20), blue zo's (@ $4/polyp, I paid $25 for my initial 4 polyps as seen below) , pink table (green w/pink polyps under 20k or actinics), a few rainbow monti frags and many other goodies.

 

I will also have 3 SPS colonies FS:

 

a pink stylo ~6"x4"x4" ($40) SOLD

 

an unknown brown base green colony w/purple 6x6x6 ($50) SOLD

 

 

and a purple porites ~6x4x4 (this will need 20k lights as it is a boring color under my 10k paid $150 for it will let it go for $30) SOLD

 

After I get a good look in my frag tank I will post more specific frags w/prices.

Anyone have any suggestions for making the process of getting together and making contacts at the meetings any easier? I seem to spend a lot of time (sometimes missing parts of the speakers talk or some other part of the meeting) trying to find people I've worked out deals with :-( If I knew everyone - that would be a breeze but that's not possible.

 

Can we designate an approximate time (near the end of the meeting maybe) or set up a particular table or area for sellers/traders to meet? If you have to leave the meeting early or won't get there til late, separate arrangements can still be made. I'm trying to reduce my stress and enjoy the meetings more :-)

This has been a pet pev of mine since I started coming to the meeting (Hence my suggestion a while back about letting everyone stand up and introduce themselves at the beginning of the meetings. PERSONALIZE IT).

I believe we setup a designated area for frags to be taken to for starters to concentrate those doing the fragging to be met.

Hi guys!

Looks like I will be rolling into town that weekend as my wife has stuff at NIH to clean out.

Dave- still in silver springs area? If so, can you hold frags for me until sunday if need be? I might be heading back here on Saturday night.

I'm interested in any pretty corals- acropora, montipora, lps, etc. Won't be bringing anything down with me other than my wallet. I'll let you guys decide what I should take back- please make a list of corals you think should be spread beyond DC.

 

My tank took a hit this summer during a heat spell (no AC in the basement)- so I need some corals. After which I bought a chiller- so hopefully that won't happen again.

 

I see Justin is speaking- that's awesome. Maybe someone can bring a CD player to play his bands CD during the fragging. I'll be happy to get my hands wet as well and help wherever.

 

VERY happy to see this fall tradition continuing.

The monti isn't a cap. It's a funky encrusting species I got from MichaelG. Deep green. It needs room, because it tends to grow over things.

Looks like I will be rolling into town that weekend as my wife has stuff at NIH to clean out.
