Couple updates with the tank. Blue stag and yellow tip austera have reached the surface and touching glass… so time to reset the colony, and I’ll be bringing a bunch of frags to fragfest!

 

I’ve also recently added a pair of my dream fish, 2 borbonius anthias! They’ve been in the display about a week. However, my longnose hawkfish absolutely hates them, and has kept them in hiding. I was surprised to see the longnose had such animosity to the borbs. He hasn’t shown aggression to any other fish before, hoping he will settle down soon.

Awesome pair of fish. They remind me of Dr. Seuss. Very cool. That hawkfish would be banished to the sump.

Yanked out the entire Bill Murray colony today. It was overgrowing and shading too much in the tank. Got it out mostly in 1 piece! along with the asd milli that it was overtaking.  Over 6lbs of coral! The asd milli went back in the tank, but if anybody is looking for a big bill murray colony, check with Adam at aqua haus!

mine grew fast and dense! which made it kind of a pain to frag

Yeah most people may not want a boulder acro frag, lol. That colony will look sweet for someone with a big tank if it doesn’t get chopped up.

Bill Murray grows like a weed in my tank. It's all over the place. At least it's pretty!

Some exciting things have happened since my last update. Back in April, Vic from worldwide corals came to visit and video the tank! It was super cool to get to chat with Vic. He especially liked my RR Firecracker and didn’t have it in his collection yet, so he sent me some nice frags in trade! 2 nice goni frags, wwc jawbreaker grafted monti, and a chunky paletta pink tip. Unfortunately I lost the pink tip, totally my fault. It was well encrusted on a tile, but i don’t allow any outside plugs/tiles to enter my systems. I was just too aggressive right after shipping. Vic visited a couple other wamas tanks during his trip, so also check out the videos featuring @nburg and @YHSublime!
