Origami May 31, 2017 May 31, 2017 Eric, nice suction cups. When moving it next, consider your doorways and their widths when planning how you're going to situate people for the move. A line of guys on either side of the tank is ideal, but they won't fit through a standard doorway along with the tank. I've seen people build small ramps or skids to get through doorways, and then resume the lifting on the other side. Beautiful stand you have there.
pizzaguy May 31, 2017 Author May 31, 2017 I will say this, without the suction cups it would have never happened. No way. Gonna definitely have to come up with a strategy to get in my house.
ezeke1 May 31, 2017 May 31, 2017 Love the 3/4" rimless glass box. It has to weigh at least 1000lbs empty because it took 8 guys to move my 225 and that took work.
roni May 31, 2017 May 31, 2017 Haha...Eric, what did I tell you We used 8 last time. Tank is looking good.
joro June 2, 2017 June 2, 2017 Just had my 336G Miracles Tank moved in today (3/4" glass and dimensions of 72" by 30" by 36") and I can tell you it was a heavy mother! It took 8 people to move in, so you'll definitely want a small army. Good luck with the move in!
YHSublime June 2, 2017 June 2, 2017 Holy ..... I'll be that way in a couple weeks, love to stop by and check this out if you'll be around! Loving the back end of things, that garage display is dope!
pizzaguy June 18, 2017 Author June 18, 2017 Updates made some serious progress this weekend. Tank move went super smooth this time. Had to call on some serious muscle. Gonna be water testing today
jbarre03 June 18, 2017 June 18, 2017 Sorry I missed the move. Looks great! I love how it says serious muscle and then there's Dave ha James Barrett
pizzaguy June 19, 2017 Author June 19, 2017 Water tested today. Couple small fixes. Now time to drain and figure out the best way to make the transfer happen.
pizzaguy June 19, 2017 Author June 19, 2017 Actually dave was josh's right hand man until about 11pm. They pulled a 14 hour day to get me up and running. I got pretty sick so wasnt much help and they powered through it. I have a great group of friends. Very helpful
WilRams June 19, 2017 June 19, 2017 Massage chair and food? I should have come over and helped! Looking good. Next time I'm in Winchester I'll have to stop by again. My build will look similar with the blue pipe schedule 80 fittings and pure reef sump.
