How many tanks have you owned?

Since I got caught up in the world of saltwater, I've been through so many tanks I can't even begin to count them:

14 Gallon Biocube
40 gallon cube
57 Deep Blue Rimless
29 Gallon Biocube
150 gallon Marineland
20 gallon long
180 gallon Miracles
105 ADA
Custom 6' Aquabox Nano
Fluval Edge

I'm sure I am missing some in there! Post up how many tanks you've had, pictures are a bonus! Here are some pics of a few of my tanks that have come and gone.

For saltwater...

  • 10g mixed reef back in 2003/4-ish...fell in love with tigah-boy's nano and had my first rainbow acan here (and joined my first reef club, in Raleigh NC)
  • Then, a 30g cube in 2006  - total fail on my part while living to two places during grad school...hair algae so bad I tossed the rock in the woods to avoid giving someone else the same headache...then took a long break (joined Hampton Roads Reef Club back then)
  • 46bow SPS reef started 2012 when I joined WAMAS - had been great little setup and is still up after my house move even though I lost most livestock, limping along until I exit it
  • 90g reef tank recently finished cycle...livestock free at the moment...man do I want to find time to buy some fish
  • 150g cube, waiting in my unfinished basement for me to get it all together and we'll see what we do exactly

 There's not enough!

so somewhere just short of infinity.

I started freshwater when I was about 14 years old. It wasn't until around 20 that I got really into big tanks. Here is a picture of my first 150 gallon freshwater. It was used for a red eared slider turtle:

Here is my very first saltwater tank, a 14 gallon biocube:

Cool turtle tank.  My first tank was a 10 gallon metal frame tank with baby red-eared sliders.  I bet your turtles were a lot happier.

Well in the little over 10 years I've been involved....

35g custom acrylic mini predator tank

75g fowler

150g fowler with nems and some zoas

12g cube mini reef

50g reef

5g species

And another 150g reef :)

I'm sticking with fowlrs from now on with a few of my favorite corals but no full blown reefs after this one gets taken down...
