dipg January 6, 2014 Share January 6, 2014 This is my 3rd year as a wamas member and I wouldn't have a healthy reef tank if it wasn't for all the members and this forum. Last year was interesting as I won the 150g tank in a raffle (thanks to reefescape) but ended up donating back to WAMAS (Isaac ended up receiving the tank in the end). Two new LFS - QR and IC sure made for some exciting weekends of coral shopping. Looking forward in 2014 to upgrade to a bigger tank and once again taking advantage of the knowledge of fellow wamas members.
Huly January 6, 2014 Share January 6, 2014 Woohoo! Pez and I have been here a little over a year and well without WAMAS we would have never made it! I think our biggest challenge of 2013 was the flat worms eating our torch! Now the hardest part to admit was either Rob was right (which I will never say ) or due to lack of time (football season) and lack of proper feeding ( we did not spot feed most of Nov to Dec as we did not have time) we did lose our gonipora a few weeks ago. :( But everything else is doing great! mr.x-ray January 9, 2014 Share January 9, 2014 My fav moment was human sandpaper related. The time and that thread were not my favorite, but the comment made me crack up. Thank you. I'm glad to have meet many awesome people this past year and to have the 2 new stores doing very well and others doing good also. And to Vince and Steve thanks for putting a store right off the beltway that I cannot drive by without coming in and spending hours at a time. surf&turf January 10, 2014 Share January 10, 2014 What happened to CHUBAKAH/Mark? He was pretty active until I had to disappear for a bit. He disappeared from Facebook, his e-mail address is defunct, and I'm wondering if his big setup is still running. As for fond memories, having to get rid of my favorite yellow tang and having you help me find him a good home is a somewhat bittersweet. I'm also glad that Jenn got my 72 bowfront, and even more glad that my travel schedule is a little more manageable now and can get back into the hobby. Mark took his system down, I believe it towards the end of 2012. So sad, it was an awesome system.

Origami January 10, 2014 Share January 10, 2014 Micheal was Micheal Gerdes I think, moved to NY You know, it was the other former president I'm thinking about having seen... Steve H., not Michael G.. But Paul A. is still around as dfladermaus - proprietor of Fantastic Frags and a WAMAS sponsor.
