So shocked when I came home after 7 days of vacation. ALL my fish hiding. ALL taken over different territory. My fish always greet me and beg for food. The tangs eat out of my hand but not today! Scared to death of me. All fish took on new territory guess where?! Under the auto fish feeder. I'm surprised that they forgot about me so quick but smart enough to learn where the food spits out so quick. Short term memory! This at least tells me they forgot about how sweet freedom is AKA ocean!!! Lol any similar stories?

Mine are pigs. Even with the autofeeder, they still beg when I come into the room.

My friendliest most tame hand fed fish is now the most skittish. 7 days of no human contact destroyed him lol I'm sure he will turn around quick.

I swear my Chevron recognizes the Julian Springs Nori packet. It could be munching on all sorts of food, but as soon as I come in with that pack, it is at the glass by it's clip.

I love how mine follow me in pack formation from one end of the tank to the other...cracks me up. Also i have two tanks next to each other and whichever one i feed first i look over at the other one and they are all gathered watching the other tank eat...it's so pathetic..and the worst part is i feel guilty while the other tanks waiting to be fed lol I'm a huge sucker i know

I was gone 7 days and as soon as i walked down the stairs the recognized me and acted like the pet Sitter didn't feed them lol

Mine does exactly the same thing

Lol I'm so mad at my fish!!!! They were all like what y'all are describing! They used to recognize the sound of the veggie clip!

Haha!!! I pick up the food cup and fill it with tank water. Go in the kitchen out of view of the tank to get food to thaw. Come back around the corner to the tank and and ALL the fish are on the side closest to the kitchen, shoulder to shoulder (fin to fin) waiting.

In the short time I've owned my 2 clowns and 2 cardinals, they've learned if I stop by the right side of the tank to pause the WP25, it's feeding time.  They scurry over to the left side of the tank (where I feed them) and wait for food.  It's really comical.

When anyone asks why I like fish, I tell them to google "wet pets", most don't realize fish an have personalities.

My fish did the same when I went on a week's vacation. spoil them with goodies they don't normally get from the auto feeder and they'll love you again soon.

It's pretty depressing to come back and have them be so skittish, but they'll come back around. Even my newest fish are begging now.

I honestly have to hide from my fish when I walk downstairs if I don't want them to drop everything and start begging. I never get to see them act natural unless I watch through the foscam. :)

It didn't take long! They are back to normal and eating out of my hand again. If I sit down long enough they start to act natural. Neato.
