I have a ricordea that has been thriving, however today I noticed a bunch of worm like things.  Are these aiptasia?

I know it is kind of hard to see, I'll try to get another pic.

Thanks!

Hard to see. Looks like greenish dish. Could be green paly. Poke it to see if it retract quickly to almost vanish. If it does then aiptasia. If just closed up and round, then they are paly.

That does not look like Aiptasia to me. Do the "feathers" come out of a hard tube? Like this:

These are Hydroids

They look just like those. Before I start googling, they are stuck on a tiny rock my ricordea came on. Can I just pull the rock out and pick them off?

Here is a clearer pic. You can see the tubes. Also I've noticed my sexy shrimp likes to munch on them which is good. But it also loves to munch on my birds nest which is bad :(

You can pull them off with tweezers, or needle nose pliers. I have done this in the past with success. I would do this out of the tank if possible, but they wont explode or anything, so if you have to remove them in the water I don't see it being a big issue.
