Lobster w/ Five Digit (hand like) Claw

A Lobster was found that had five digits on one claw, similar to a human hand. Pretty freaky!

Normally I would say, "great, more meat!" But the was it just a mutation, ooooooor did something unnatural cause that to happen....

That's pretty cool. I found a story on it here.

 

Sometimes, mutations like this cost the animal some competitive edge in their environment. In this case, it probably saved the lobster's life since it's going to be re-homed to the Maine State Aquarium rather than finding it's way to someone's dinner plate.
