FishyPapa August 30, 2013 Share August 30, 2013 Can this be used safely for dipping zoas with the same recipe the speaker gave at the frag Fest meeting?
TheyCallMeMr.703 August 30, 2013 Share August 30, 2013 I do remember him saying that he did use this on Softies as well, and they all did fine. I believe it was the same recipe as well.
AlanM August 30, 2013 Share August 30, 2013 Yes. The guy said he dips softies as well with no ill effects, like 703 said above. The poison in that bug killer is some kind of nervous system one, which corals don't have.

Enkay August 30, 2013 Share August 30, 2013 Can someone post the dilution ratio please ? I was negligent (bad me) and forgot what it is. I bought 2 bottles at fragfest so how much do I put in a gallon of water and how long do I dip the coral in it? Thanks!
sachabballi reef August 30, 2013 Share August 30, 2013 Boyer pest control with germ killer in blue bottle at home depot. 4 ml per litre for 15 min with air stone. Expect collateral damage for aefw and redbugs Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk

The bottles should have 3 gallons (this is all from memory, so I'll check when I get home.) So a third of the bottle makes a gallon. I also used this to dip zoas with, no ill effects at 15 minutes. Coral Hind August 31, 2013 Share August 31, 2013 For some of the newer members who might not know what is being talked about above. This is only to be used as a dip and not a whole tank treatment to remove AEFW and red bugs. http://wamas.org/forums/topic/45706-for-those-who-have-aefw-and-red-bugs/?p=382441

DCReefer1964 September 3, 2013 Share September 3, 2013 For Zoas I just use Hydrogen Peroxide treatment with a drop of iodine. Kills everything but the Zoas . They are hardier than you think. Week later they will spring into action.
