fscbishop June 27, 2013 June 27, 2013 Any one know how to get green hair off corals, i have 2 digis with green hair on a couple tips.
Marc Weaver June 27, 2013 June 27, 2013 (edited) If the tips were burned and algae grew on them as a result, cut 'em off. They'll grow back quickly. For some reason, cutting the tips off makes the coral regrow without new algae infestation. If you just try to pull the algae off, it will grow back. Edited June 27, 2013 by Marc Weaver

I don't understand why it works like this, but I have experienced it.
Cliff Puckstable June 27, 2013 June 27, 2013 I have a problem where strands my gf's hair keeps getting into my dt. It gets tangled in the sps and starts killing it. Anyone else have this problem?
sachabballi reef June 27, 2013 June 27, 2013 Ummmmm....lol why is her head in your tank? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

Coral Hind June 27, 2013 June 27, 2013 Do you have any fish that would eat the algae in the tank they should keep it in check? How is the hair algae in other parts of the tank, on rocks? Try to reduce nutrients to starve out the hair algae. It would be nice to see a picture of the tank/corals.

gmerek2 June 28, 2013 June 28, 2013 Doubt you are serious because that is funny stuff. But I think there is a chance you are because I find my wifes hair all over the darn house and on my clothing. But I dont have any in the fish tank. This could be a bad procedure but I rinse my hands/arms in sink water before entering tank. Cover your RODI water trash can with a trash can lid. Cover transport water buckets. Oh and tell her to stop having dunking for apples contests in tank while you are gone.
Cliff Puckstable June 28, 2013 June 28, 2013 Ill just trade her for a non shedding, shorter haired girl. Ill put it in the for sale forum and see if I get any bites.

treesprite June 30, 2013 June 30, 2013 (edited) I have a problem where strands my gf's hair keeps getting into my dt. It gets tangled in the sps and starts killing it. Anyone else have this problem? LOL. Strands of my long hair get tangled on my corals, but her hair would have to be razor sharp to kill the corals, or else she must be putting handfuls in the tank at one time. My strands are light in the water and a couple times I miss-took long feeding strands for hair and pulled them off by mistake. Edited June 30, 2013 by treesprite
