Orion March 27, 2014 March 27, 2014 Hard to believe you haven't been dosing anything... It looks great. You do seem to have some shadowing near the center and along the edges of the tank. Wider lenses might be in order.

YHSublime March 27, 2014 Author March 27, 2014 Water Change ? Nope, I did a water change yesterday, about every 1.5-2 weeks I'll do 40 gallons.
sachabballi reef March 27, 2014 March 27, 2014 I am a hypocrite...I don't test either...water changes weekly and dosers and if anything seems off I test...so I can't make too much fun of you
surf&turf March 28, 2014 March 28, 2014 Lights look great, wonder what the neighbors think when they see all the flashes in storm mode?
YHSublime March 28, 2014 Author March 28, 2014 Testing is overrated. Water changes solve 95% of problems Testing is overrated. Blah. Lights look great, wonder what the neighbors think when they see all the flashes in storm mode? Thanks! I dig them more and more. They are, crisp, is the best way to describe it. Photo shoot...haha. With all the people coming in and out, leaving with baggies, my old grow light, they neighbors probably think I'm a drug dealer.
YHSublime April 1, 2014 Author April 1, 2014 Well, I didn't try any pictures, and I didn't whisper sweetly to them. They just kind of figured out one day that maybe it was awesome. The little one hides underneath it, but sometimes goes in with the big one. They are weird, don't ask me:
YHSublime April 1, 2014 Author April 1, 2014 Wahoo! Talking about movin' on up,lol I'm honestly just glad they are loving it. The big one terrifies me. It's so hungry for everything it has no problem going for my hand if I stick it in the tank. Also, I don't know if you can see in the video, but the nems base has twisted like a wet rag, it looks like it's tied a knot in it's foot. I don't know how, I want to un-spin it!
DuffyGeos April 1, 2014 April 1, 2014 Congrats on them hosting!!! But...... Isaac! Didn't Marco warn you about a month ago........... isaac, you've been killing me lately with these videos. you got a bad case of VVS. i hope this PSA helps you.
YHSublime April 1, 2014 Author April 1, 2014 Congrats on them hosting!!! But...... Isaac! Didn't Marco warn you about a month ago........... Bah. I'm going to stop sharing videos. My phone case has a magnetic cover, so it seems weird to hang it instead of flipping it and just shooting.
monkiboy April 1, 2014 April 1, 2014 stop being lazy. congrats on the clowns - they're having a ball, huh? leave the nem alone. the wizard has spoken.
YHSublime April 1, 2014 Author April 1, 2014 stop being lazy. congrats on the clowns - they're having a ball, huh? leave the nem alone. the wizard has spoken. Laziness is for those not seeking success. Thank you - they are indeed, now that they realize what life is like inside an RBTA. I am leaving the nem alone. *Lightening Bolt*
sachabballi reef April 1, 2014 April 1, 2014 don't stress the twisty nem....I did that for you a month or so ago and everyone told me to leave it alone it was fine....reluctantly I did and sure enough...it was fine and even twists and untwists itself whenever it feels like it.....and congrats!! I have had the same clown for 11 years and I bought him at the same time as a BTA and he took to it within seconds so I have never known or understood this small bus clown behavior.....

I have had the same clown for 11 years and I bought him at the same time as a BTA and he took to it within seconds so I have never known or understood this small bus clown behavior..... Yeah, my other RBTA is the same way, twists and turns. Actually, when you asked about it, I think I commented I've never interfered with my RBTA's, they are always fine. I never understood it either, my other clown pair in my DT are ORA. It amazed me that having never seen an anemone in their entire life they knew EXACTLY what to do in less than seconds as well. This pair came from Laura, and they had not hosted before. I decided the best way to do it was to put them in a 20 with a gigantic nem. I guess now I know the frustrations that some folk have. I wasn't planning on making it a clown and nem tank, but perhaps with the success it will turn into that.
YHSublime April 7, 2014 Author April 7, 2014 isaac after finding out your clowns took to the nem... That is spot on. What a busy meet. I picked up so many more frags, and still have to put my zoa garden back together. Tanks pretty much on auto. Just feeding and letting everything adjust to the Raions. Of course all 4 frag racks have worked their way back into the tank. Still trying to figure out what to do with the 20 gallon tank on the side. It was quickly buidling up detrius, and turning into a nitrate/phosphate pit off the side. I added a WP-25, and about 25 nasarius snails. Cleared out all the frag racks temporarly and sold the Kessil. I ended up getting Old Reefers old frag tank DIY led, which is BRIGHT. The clowns are a little confused about the flow, but I can already tell that this will be a great step forward. Thinking about taking out the sand and tossing some zoas in on the floor, what does everybody think? I also thought I might take everything out, keep the WP 25 rocking on high with the super bright light, and turn it into an SPS grow out, and also still take the sand out. If I did that I would have to rehome the clowns and nem, or at least the clowns.
