Muddy357 September 4, 2012 September 4, 2012 Steve I have some Frags for you I will bring them by later this week.
Der ABT September 4, 2012 September 4, 2012 gotta say im a fan of a heater in the tank as well...if your return cuts off at least the tank will stay warm (had this happen in my old 75g)...may not look the best but its something ill live with. Also know MANY that have no problem with them in their sump but Tank is looking great man. congrats. let me know if you ever need some sps, ill be doing a major trimming in the near future.

epleeds September 9, 2012 September 9, 2012 i thought you were going with a custom sump? or is that still in the works.
steveoutlaw September 9, 2012 Author September 9, 2012 i thought you were going with a custom sump? or is that still in the works. It's in the plans, but may have to wait a while. I'm getting Adam to help me customize my water storage unit (if I can ever get it over to him). But with the cost of the tank and needing to get the front tiled and the cabinetry done I may have to wait a while on it.
steveoutlaw October 24, 2012 Author October 24, 2012 Ok, it has been a while since I updated. Stupid work getting in the way! I've got the framing in place and have been making progress on the wall tiling. I also put a swabbie on my H&S skimmer (but my wife is upset it's not going to be able to be kept under the stand). If you haven't invested in a swabbie, I highly recommend it. Anyway, here are a few pics:

steveoutlaw November 2, 2012 Author November 2, 2012 Looks awesome! I'm just hoping it doesn't take as long as yours to break in!!
Incredible Corals November 2, 2012 November 2, 2012 The filter socks are what was making my skimmer go crazy.
zygote2k November 3, 2012 November 3, 2012 Organizing the wires behind the tank: I remember that "organized mess of wires" when I had Tunzes. I have MP40's now and wonder why I had myself convinced that the Tunzes were the shizzle.
Sharkey18 November 3, 2012 November 3, 2012 Your tank looks awesome. Can't wait to see the cabinet done.
steveoutlaw November 3, 2012 Author November 3, 2012 I remember that "organized mess of wires" when I had Tunzes. I have MP40's now and wonder why I had myself convinced that the Tunzes were the shizzle. Because when I go downstairs, there is no annoying whine anywhere in all of those wires!!
steveoutlaw November 3, 2012 Author November 3, 2012 Your tank looks awesome. Can't wait to see the cabinet done. Thanks Laura.........I can't wait to see it done either........now I just need to find the time to DO IT!!
steveoutlaw December 1, 2012 Author December 1, 2012 (edited) Guess it's time for a little update. Got the 250w Radiums on and will NEVER switch lights again. Plugged in the UV sterilizer tonight so water should be clearing up soon. Now I need to get the cabinet doors cut and painted this weekend. Neverending!!!
