Ryan S May 4, 2012 May 4, 2012 How many of you have ordered from www.liveaquaria.com before? Fish or corals? What have your experiences been like? Are the colors of the corals depicted on their site, what they looked like when you got them? Were the fish healthy? Have you had any fish arrive DOA, or not make it more than 14 days, or arrive with any diseases? As far as selection, price, customer service, etc, how would you rank liveaquaria vs other online stores? Would you recommend them to others?
Jan May 4, 2012 May 4, 2012 Great experience with LA. fish and corals are always healthy. Never had fish arrive DOA but have had some die within the 14 days and they honor replacement and free shipping. Rank 10 compared to other online stores. I would highly recommend to others. but lets try to support our LFS first. How many of you have ordered from www.liveaquaria.com before? Fish or corals? What have your experiences been like? Jim May 4, 2012 May 4, 2012 I've had good luck with Liveaquaria, but have switched to Wayne from Saltwaterworx. He's been able to get everything I've asked for with better prices and he hand delivers to your house. He also offers a QT service, but I've never used it. I'd recommend giving him a PM if you have anything in mind.
trockafella May 4, 2012 May 4, 2012 LA is great to deal with. I would absolutely recommend them.! Never once had an issue.
roni May 4, 2012 May 4, 2012 I've used Liveaquaria. Great online store and hard to beat the 14 day guarantee. My go to online fish source is Pacific Island Aquatics, however, simply be Gotta second Wayne at Saltwaterworx. The PBT I got from him at the meeting is the nicest PBT I've seen in a while. It's already aggressively devouring everything in site and was QTed for 3 weeks. The best part is the price was the same despite the QT.
Rafal May 4, 2012 May 4, 2012 I had a great experience with LiveAquaria ordering corals. I can definitely recommended them but like Jan wrote lets try to support our LFS first.
BowieReefer84 May 4, 2012 May 4, 2012 I can't wait to get my new tank and hook up with Wayne (Saltwaterworx). LiveAquaria holds/inspects, but they still say to do your own QT if you read the site. Seriously though, don't you have 12 weeks of an empty tank?
Ryan S May 4, 2012 Author May 4, 2012 Seriously though, don't you have 12 weeks of an empty tank? Well, 8 weeks if you count the 1 month of QT time

If we had a LFS with a 14 day guarantee, that QTed their fish 1 month before selling, and matched liveaquaria's prices, that would be my only source for fish. Simple as that. But I haven't found a LFS like that yet.

But I haven't found a LFS like that yet. well, in fairness, liveaquaria only qts stuff on diver's den, not their general stock. It's why diver's den prices are pretty high. They also don't qt the same period of time for each fish. Ultimately, you really should do your own 8-10 week qt for each fish if you want to be careful. However, in general, for most people, having a fish that the store holds for a couple weeks that's eating is usually going to be a fish that does well.
zoltarblue May 4, 2012 May 4, 2012 Ive ordered from Divers Den twice. One time fish and they are all still happy and healthy 8 months later. Other time 4 corals. Colors and sizes were exactly what was on website. One did die after about two months but I am guessing that was on my part others are doing great
ErikS May 4, 2012 May 4, 2012 On a scale of 1 to 10 LA gets a 10. They have always stood behind their stuff - no questions, no qualms, nothing. They've even gone beyond by giving me additional credit when an order was messed up. Even better is Diver's Den - cost more but you're 100% certain the fish has been QT'd, is eating, and overall healthy. Pretty crucial for more difficult species.
Ryan S May 4, 2012 Author May 4, 2012 But isn't shippping alot from what I remember? it's free if you spend $225.
dmatt56 May 5, 2012 May 5, 2012 I highly recommend LiveAquaria DIVERS DEN - not general fish fish... Diver Den offers: Free shipping over $225 Fish come from QT and ready for display tank 2 week warranty - no questions asked Friendly customer service reps 5% rewards program The only downfall if their stock sells REALLY fast. You have to check divers den daily. Subscribe to their newsletter for sneak peak previews. Matt
