I am moving to Florida in six weeks or so and had to break down my tank. Everything is gone now except for the lights. I have 3 SOL BLUES with all the power supplies, running rails, hanging kit and controller. I would like to sell it all together so I am asking $600 for everything which from my looking around is a really good deal. So after one succesful suicide and another attempted one by my fish I am putting white egg crate on the top of my display. Question I have is how much light will the egg crate actually block or dillute light wise. I am using SOL Blues

For my 2 cents I have been running the AI SOL Blues for about a year now and I have tremendous growth in everything. I highly recommend them.

What about some type of cleanup crew? Nassarius snails? Other snails?

Great help so far. Your right I should go with live rock. Thinking about sand substrate not sure yet. i plan on putting two korilla 6 power heads in it that I have laying around now that I upgraded to MP40's. Any recomendations for a good skimmer. I know pricey is often better in this item.

So my reef is doing great and now I want to build another tank. Thinking of predator fish. An eel and maybe 3-4 other fish like puffer lion etc. So the question I have is this. I need advice on what I need for this tank. I have been doing reading but I would like advice from the community. Obviously do not need expensive LED or living rock. So where should I start and what would I need. Thinking 150-180 gallon. Any input is greatly appreciated

I totally agree give it at least a week to settle down. I lived in Florida for many years and went through many power outages. Lost some things the first few times then learned to have some back ups like air stones etc to make it through. You have great stuff so I would wait you will regret manking a hasty decision. If you do get out though let me know what all you have I may be interested in buying out every thing. Just take time to think it over

Yes it is a shortcake and I bought it Saturday. Got it at the bottom of my tank letting it get acclimated to my SOLs as we speak

Got a nice colony of this today. I had done a lot of reading on it and there seems to be mixed reviews on where to place it. Everyone says it likes a lot of flow but seem split on high placement high light, and middle to lower tank with medium to low light. Any one have some experience with this great coral and could offer some suggestions? I am running SOL BLUES if this helps

Bought the chalice in the second picture. It is truly incredible to look at especially under blue light I highly recommend checking it out

I have been using B-Ionic now for a year since I started my tank. Lately I am using way more of the calcium then the alk one. All my chemicals are well within paramaters before someone asks. The question is this. I have struck out being able to by the Calcium concentrate by itself apparently you have to buy both of the,. Can I quit using B-Ionic and just switch to something else like BRS 2 part? Or is there something people would recomend? For the record I am dosing .25-.30 ml of componet one daily and .5-.75 ml of the calcium depending on where it is at

Ive ordered from Divers Den twice. One time fish and they are all still happy and healthy 8 months later. Other time 4 corals. Colors and sizes were exactly what was on website. One did die after about two months but I am guessing that was on my part others are doing great

Have three over mine I hung them as well. On the bright side though they are awesome. I have had them since August and my SPS grow like crazy

Checked for the worms and bugs. made sure I dipped when they came in two months ago as well. If it was eiher it would have shown sooner then 2 months wouldnt it? Did a water change will see if Elegance perks up tomorrow

TDS says Rodi is 0.00. Have not added anything new like pumps lights etc. Using SOL Blues have not altereted the intensity at all. RTN on both the pieces started like on the underside of all the stalks and spread quickly. Not running GFO or Carbon. Really perplexing. My red table is getting bigger daily as is my garf and other SPS. Doing a water change today. Elegance did not open at all today its in its shell.

Using the kits you guys ordered.for.me. never had a issue.with them. Also using the refractometer that Greg ordered.I calibrate it.each water.change. any thoughts.on why ammonia would jump from zero to .25 after eight months?

Might have a small problem but not sure so looking for advice. Last week I had a SPS I had from Divers Den RTN in lest then two days. Today I just got home and another SPS is RTNing and my Elegance is not open. Here are all the tank parameters I just did them. Also did a water change last week I do them every two. Salinity right at 1.025 Water Temp- 78.6 Phospahtes .09 PH 8.0 Nitirite 0 Nitrate 0 Calcium a bit low today but nothing critical 380 KH 10 Magnesium 1320 Amonia .25 on the test kit This is the only thing I see out of wack Going to do a water change but could a slight jump in Ammonia cause the RTN or Elegance not to open. All other SPS and coral and fish are fine. Ammonia was 0 last week before I did the water change also. Any advice on what to do or opinions is greatly appreciated
